Man, I love this hoodie. I have two Ambient hoodies, one Ambient jacket and one Ambient vest and I must say that I love them all. Lightweight and very toasty. Pretty quiet also.

Not what I expected

The jacket was light and thinner than I expected. It felt more like one of those loose warm-up jackets from the 80s. The outer shell would likely pick on everything and I thought it best to return it.

Favorite piece from Sitka! So incredibly versatile. Can wear from cool 70’s with the chilly breeze, to low 40’s and be warm.

Intriguing piece, happy with it

The Ambient 100 feels like a niche top but after actually receiving it, putting it on, etc. I could see wearing it all. the. time. It is warm, super-light, and trim but not tight. I ordered a Large and it should be perfect inside waders, under a vest or heavier outer shell, and even alone during turkey season or cold mornings fishing, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I can draw a bow and mount a gun without it feeling tight. For reference, I have a 45" chest and 38" waist (32. 5" sleeve in dress shirts), putting me right in between sizes on the size chart (5'9. 5", 210lbs). Before it arrived, I was worried I should've ordered an XL but for what I am looking for - a high performance, non-bulky mid layer that can be a light outer layer in shoulder season conditions and go on every trip with me, I'll stick with the Large. I wouldn't wear a button-down shirt or anything underneath that would bunch up, but with a shear-fitting long sleeve base layer like a Core 1/2 zip, as I'm planning, it should be great. If I have an initial complaint, the hood stands a little tall but snugs down if I pull it down a bit in the back. Is it dead quiet? No, but it is pretty darn quiet and sufficient for my intended uses.

Used this jacket as part of an overall system with the Jet Stream vest. Very comfortable was perfect for the early turkey mornings. Did not over heat walking out to turkey spots. Quiet matter very nice for hunts. Will be adding this to my early fear season system

This jacket is perfect for early mornings in the turkey woods! Light packable and breathable. Looking forward to using it in bow season as well!

Nice addition to the lineup

I have a Kelvin Lite Down and the old Kelvin Lite Active, and bought this to complement those pieces. This coat is more like a light fleece than a jacket, is lighter than the original Kelvin Active, and is very comfortable. I wear it alone when walking the dog on cool mornings or later it under the Jetstream for cool mornings on early to mid season hunts.

Favorite new jacket

The second I put this on I knew it was going to be my new favorite jacket. It's incredibly light and comfortable but also surprisingly warm. I took it on a bear hunt this spring and was impressed how well it worked through a large range of temperatures. I was also able to hike with it on at mid temps without it being too warm. Awesome jacket.

I'm a huge fan of the ambient series. I have an ambient 200 jacket and it's amazing, truly. But I need this hoodie in a 3XL

Great technically… durable as Kleenex

This jacket is meant to be worn under other layers. But even if that’s the purpose just know the face fabric is about as durable as a Kleenex. This will pill if a rough surface even glances in the direction of the jacket. If you were to be around a blue collar person and heaven forbid you are one simply rubbing this with calloused hand would cause this to nearly fall apart. I actually love this jacket for warmth and it is quite versatile but there is something I loathe about high end gear that has to be absolutely babied or replaced after even the lightest of uses if put to the test. Gear has this sliding scale that begin at dirt cheap and also incredibly fragile, then moves to good durability and solid price (ie justified), then it hits the Sitka/Arc’teryx level where you get this high end gear with almost obscene prices however the sliding scale of price and durability instead goes at Mach 1 in opposite directions. This has to be absolutely babied to keep in good condition and could never be worn as a stand alone item. This is use after about 1. 5yrs but zero hard uses and honestly was primarily used as a jacket in winter while commuting. Not sure how this can claim the face fabric adds durability because it just ain’t. If I were them I wouldn’t even mention durability in the description

Great hooded jacket!!!

Never thought I would fall in love that much with a garment!! The warmth it generate is super soft and is not over warming you. It handles very well the level of exertion you are doing and keep you where you need to be. Great jacket!!

Great Lightweight Jacket.

This jacket is a nice lightweight jacket for cooler days.

Loved this jacket but. . . one major flaw.

I love this lightweight comfortable jacket, great in cool weather into the 50s, but the one thing I don't like is that this jacket's hand pockets are not lined (unlike the Ambient 200 which is). That's why it gets 4 stars, not 5 for me, given the price point of this jacket. I'm 5'11, 155 lbs, and a Medium fits great by the way.

For 350 you’re better off

For 350 you’re better off doubling over your bed sheets. This jacket is so thin I could watch tv with it over my face. I understand the active insulation but it’s not insulating anything.

all purpose awesome jacket

I had a brown colored Ambient 100 jacket for two years before the zipper started to hang up occasionally so I sent it in for repair but they sent me a brand new jacket instead. This is my favorite jacket for all seasons for sure. It breathes so well and is very lightweight but so warm.

Extremely comfortable piece that I will have on every hunt from here out. Outer layer received pilling day 1 from my seatbelt. Not a big deal as its performance is more important than cosmetics. I’m generally an XL in everything. It fits great except for length. Runs short for my build. 6’4 215lbs.

Light weight, heavy duty

Don’t let the weight of this jacket fool you. It’s incredibly warm and comfortable. It is a great outer layer in mild to cool weather and the perfect layer under the Stratus 2. 0 jacket. If you’re on the fence, but this jacket, you won’t be disappointed.

Like the jacket - sleeve easily tore - NOT durable

I like the jacket very much (it's light and breathable) but was disappointed when the cuff easily tore pulling it on over other gear. The rubber at the end of the sleeves keeps out the wind but is too small for my XL gloved hands to slip through and so tore far too easily -now there is no wind protection on my left hand and the tear is growing.
