This balacava is lightweight. With the optifade elevated 11 camo, I was under the impression, that sitka made this balacava to go with the fanatic system. It's good for 40 degrees or above and it doesn't block the wind. If your looking for a balacava to keep you warm, this isn't it, if your looking for a balacava to match your fanatic system, then this will work.

Heavy Balaclava

Bought this and wore it during mid season. It was too hot for that time of year so I went to liner hoody. It is awesome for these 20 degree days we’re having now and until I get my buck this year it will be on my face.

Good mask

I thought this would be heavier. I did layer it with some lighter stuff I have and the neck gaiter. It seemed to cut wind well and did not inhibit my hearing. It did not fit tight either. Some masks I have had fit tight and give me headaches, not the case with this one.

Needs to be warmer as a heavy weight

It needs breathing holes so it does fog up your gun scope when you are ready to shoot as well as fogging up your binoculars.

Has a specific purpose, but hoe is comfortable, doesn't cut off my eyes, isn't to small or large and droopy, good fit same as the light weight bought both for treestand. Can still hear well through both, well made. Like the neck length. I'm a working stiff and can't afford to spend my money to look cool with some Sitka gear. I try to buy when having a sale, but you get what you pay for yet to be disappointed with anything I've purchased from Sitka to date

Keeps me warm

I bought this for cold weather duck hunting and it fills the bill; however, it sure needs a mouth opening for calling. Also, doesn't come in marshland camo.
