I have both 100 and 300 series and only once did I need to wear combined (negative temp weather). During cool weather, the 100 series is awesome. And during freezing weather, the 300 series worked great. Both, under a lightweight goretex jacket. These enabled me to dress as light as possible and layer 9nly when required. I highly recommend these crew shirts.

I love this shirt for a multitude of reasons but the top one being that if I work up a sweat in a cold environment, it does exactly as designed by and wicks the moisture away from my body keeping me warm when I stop moving. I was unfortunate to trip in the marsh and my hands went under the water to catch myself. My sleeves got wet and fortunately I had an extra jacket. 10 minutes later my sleeves were dry and I was able to stay in the field completing my hunt.

The fit, comfort and quality of Core Merino 120 is very good. It is a very easy shirt to wear, in that it breaths well and is very light weight. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I gave the Core Merino 220 a 5-star rating and I think the fit and quality of the 220 is a bit better than the 120.

Thinner than I expected but not in a bad way. Super light and breathable. I wear as my base layer under a 300 g wool pullover. Used to wear cotton or polyester underneath (I know I was defeating the purpose, just took me a little while to realize) and it not only keeps you warmer but also keeps you from burning up kayaking or walking in.

I guide in Alaska and The last gig I did was it in Saint Paul island and weight constraints was an issue for this gig. I only took two of these and wore them for the month of king eider huts. They got washed maybe once and performed beautifully. Good stuff.

So far I’ve worn this shirt a couple times and only washed it once. I wore it on a couple day hike. Seems like the stitching around the collar is coming apart where I can already see through it. I only air dry it and wash on a light cycle. Not sure how much life I will get out of it. However, seems to be good light weight quality. Very breathable, I wore in 40-50 degree temperatures.
