Alaska fishing again. Still holding strong.

Back again. Second trip to Alaska salmon and halibut fishing. Would never have caught this PB king if this rain gear didn’t work. It kept me out in the rain just long enough to catch my best salmon. Most would have went back to camp.

Truly light weight but DOES NOT LEAK! First light weight rain jacket I have ever owned that doesn’t leak in moderate down pours! Its cut is slightly slim. Order one size up if you have big arms or big belly or want to wear a heavy underlayer.

Amazing Waterproof Rain Jacket

This was my first Sitka purchase. On a recent trip to Montana to do some summer fly fishing, I was looking for a breathable, lightweight waterproof rain jacket and this jacket hit the mark. On a rain soaked float down the Bitteroot, I was bone dry at the end of it! I bought this same jacket for my girlfriend and I’ll be buying more Sitka gear in the future !

I bought this super lightweight rain jacket to take on a backpacking trip on Sweden’s legendary Kungsleden trail and I’m glad I did. The jacket along with the Dew Point pants kept me completely dry during a day of hiking in pouring rain and 30 to 40 mph winds. I was amazed when I got to the hut and took my rain gear off and was completely dry underneath. It does what it is supposed to even in the harshest conditions. It’s more than worth the few ounces of extra weight in my backpack.

Truly excellent rain jacket!

As a professional fly fishing guide, I am extremely impressed with this rain jacket. I regularly hike clients into remote places, making every inch of space and ounce of weight critical. I'm planning on ordering more so I can easily pack in quality gear for clients during the summer monsoon season.

Love everything but the cuffs

This jacket is nearly perfect for its intended use. Lightweight, rain proof, exterior fabric seems very hardy for as light as it is. Fit is great. Love the hood design and fit. The only thing keeping me from giving this a 5 is the cuffs. I understand what Sitka was doing cutting weight by not having adjustable hoop and loop closure, but the cuffs are pretty tight. Not so tight that they would be uncomfortable, but tight enough that they are inconvenient to slide over your hands to remove the jacket. The cuff material does stretch, but with effort. I also worry about how well the cuffs will hold up to wear and tear as the stretchy part on the inner wrist is a mesh fabric. Other than that minor annoyance the jacket is fantastic.

Packable and waterproof. Put to the test in the Florida Keys during some intense rain storms. Cuffs allowed some water in the sleeves when fishing but that is normal for any raincoat without a gasket style cuff.

Size fits a little small

Purchased this jacket for packing in hiking bag. It’s prefect. Breaths well keeps me dry in torrential down pours. Size up if you plan to wear any layering. I went with a Large.

Best lightweight rain jacket I’ve owned

This is the best portable rain jacket I’ve owned. It’s super light, easy to pack, and much more breathable than the L. L. Bean rain jackets I’ve had in the past. It keeps the weather off without feeling stuffy or heavy. I like it so much that I’m ordering a second one to keep in my golf bag because it will make an awesome golf rain jacket.

The only ACTUALLY thin waterproof jacket I have been able to find. I have bought many others that aren't even close to waterproof. . . this one is.

Saw it in person and couldn't pass it up

I saw this listed in the new collection and thought it wouldn't be much different than my dew point I use for hunting, when I saw this in person it's clearly focused for fishing. I splurged, it's nearly half the weight as the dew point (4. 2 ounces lighter) and I really like the sleeve cuffs to help prevent water from entering down the arm. This will be a great wind breaker and summer rain jacket.

Excellent, Lightweight, Waterproof Jacket

I am partial to Gore-Tex for my rain and snow gear and was looking for a new packable rain jacket. The fit is perfect, the hood is well thought out, and my wife loves the details of the chest logo, hood Sitka label, and Gore-Tex on the sleeve. Packing the jacket into the pocket is easy and convenient. I have more heavy duty options for snowboarding and hunting, but I will grab this as my go-to for rainy and even snowy days around town or scouting from the truck, and it will live in my work bag for surprise precipitation.

Game Changer

I ran the SITKA Dewpoint UL all season while guiding striped bass on the Maine coast, and despite some wear in high-use areas like the zipper covers on the side pocket where my push pole would rub, it never leaked and kept me dry every trip. The ultralight build was a game changer during hot summer days on the skiff and the hood is one of the best features keeping your hat right where it belongs even running at high speed.
