Looking forward to using this jacket. Got an XL to allow extra clothing underneath. Seems to be a good call. Is a bit roomy but fits fine.

Jacket is good seems lighter and not as quiet as the original with the brushed face Should also allow P. O. Box in the addresses even if not shipping to a pi box cause dhl does not ship in Alaska it goes to a P. O. Box lucky I was able to get the package rerouted to a P. O. Box at the post office other wise it would have been sent back

Well I live in Prince Rupert British Columbia in Canada. If anyone has been or heard . . . it is a rain forest and good rain proof jackets are a necessity and this jacket is amazing for it! highly recommend

Great Jacket

I received this jacket as a replacement for my thunderhead jacket. I ordered the xxl as I like to have extra room to wear a thick puffy underneath. This coat fits larger than the thunderhead equivalent but is still quite functional and lighter. It’s a bit noisier than the thunderhead but is nowhere near the chip bag crinkling sound of most rain jackets.

Bought this to replace the one I have had for 6-7 years. Really like the old style way stronger material and quiet when you move. The new style is cheap, loud, and not as warm… would not buy again!!!!

Quieter than the DEW POINT, 100% Waterproof

Great Jacket for rainy day turkey hunting or a early season sit in the whitetail woods. I bought mine in Cover 2 as a Spring/Early Fall system, coat and pants. Quiet enough to pull the bow back with no "crunchy" sounds. Ultra lightweight, and breathable for climbing into the stand or a muggy rainy morning calling in turkeys. 10/10 would recommend.

This is similar in weight

This is similar in weight to the Dee Point jacket, so it’s nice and light. However, it is much less crinkly and noisy. I’ve used it a few times so far and it has been great.

My go to rain jacket

When you need it most. This jacket showed up to save the day. Nothing like sitting there being soaked… not in this jacket. Kept me dry in solid rain! I got the 3xL

The features of the jacket are well thought out. There is ample room in the shoulders. My wish would be slightly more room across the chest and an double slide zipper.

They changed this product in the last year or 2 and its not as nice. much thinner jacket. the old style was warmer and felt like better quality.

Glad I Had the Downpour Set

Sat in a 5-hour rain and stayed dry with the Downpour jacket and pants. Glad I had them - would have been a harder day without this rain gear.

Perfect for the rain

Wasn’t sure what to expect but when it arrived I was blown away. The material is super water resistant. It’s durable. And the optifade elevate pattern is awesome.

Watery Pockets

The hand pockets for this jacket are where you'd find them on a typical rain jacket. However, when its raining cats and dogs, and you're trying to keep your hands dry inside of these pockets, you'll notice that the rain drains right down your sleeve, straight into the hand pocket, filling it with water and soaking your hands anyway. If the pockets were higher, perhaps over the chest, then the natural bend of elbow would be the low point, allowing water to drip off without getting into the pockets. I have used this jacket in a literal downpour 3 separate times in the Northern Idaho woods, and all three times, the jacket pockets fill up with water despite my hands being tucked inside nearly the whole time. I typically love Sitka clothing, but for a company that prides itself on their clothing being "gear", this is a fail.
