La Pampa, Argentina Red Stag & Black Buck Hunt

I usually use this for turkey hunting in Indiana. I wore two different EGHs in Argentina on a stag and black buck hunt. It was unusually hot--90+ degrees every day of the hunt in March/April 2026. The hoodie was light and worked great for the hours of hiking and stalking. It also helped with the myriad of bugs that tried to come after me. Highly recommend for the grueling hot weather we encountered.

Great product

I am not as svelte as most but hoodie fits great. I have not been in a very buggy situation yet but there were a few flying around in my tent and none of them but me. I am happy with the purchase. I just need you to get the color I want in my size it wasn't available but I needed to try the bug repellent part of the hoodie before I go to Georgia in the summer.

Great for hot weather hunting and scouting

The integrated face gaiter is a good design. Sleeves have a thumb loop to keep sleeves from sliding up. It is a little baggy on the torso area, however I am skinny, so the hoodie should be tucked in to prevent ticks etc. Chest pocket is good for a phone or rangefinder.

6 day canoeing trip in the Everglades

Love this Hoodie. Own 2 of them!

I bought the Equinox Guard Hoodie and the Equinox Guard pants for shed antler and turkey hunting/photography in the spring, and dove and deer hunting/photography in the late summer and early fall. This hoodie is so soft, so cool, and doesn't stink after wearing and sweating into it for several days. So, I bought another one in a different color and now have two. Only negative I can find about it is that I just think it's way overpriced for what it is. So, I only buy them on sale. The only other thing I'd like is if the tails were longer, so I don't have plumber's butt when bending over. But other than that, I love this Equinox Guard hoodie and the Equinox Guard pants and Equinox Guard gloves. I've yet to get bitten by any bugs while wearing this outfit over the last year, and have yet to have a tick on me while wearing it.

Best thing out there for ticks

This is the best stuff I’ve found to prevent ticks. I don’t know what they put in this material but I virtually never get a tick wearing it. It’s also amazing at keeping you cool in hot weather. In now have 3 of them.
