I love these pants. I use them the whole season. They were great for scouting. They wicked moisture out and stayed flexible for long walks through all kinds of terrain. The ankle inner cuff kept lots of ticks off my legs. The stretch material makes it easy to keep walking, climbing, and bending all day with no issues. To me they are a must have.

I’m a bigger guy. 5’6” 210. I ordered a 38” and it fit perfect. Went out today for a scout in them. Couldn’t believe our breathable and cool they kept me. I didn’t notice the mosquitos getting through either. Can’t wait to do a bottom sit with these where the bugs are terrible. Material is super comfortable.

Doesn't fit to well for me. It fits but could be better. I'm 5'7 and the inseam is to long. Was hoping it would shrink after couple washes to help it but still to long. Just something about it that everything feels like it just sags down to the calf area where it makes it feel restricted after couple miles of scouting. Feels like a straight cut pants even tho it does have cuts for it to contour. Maybe it needs a more contour cut around the knees. If you wore Firstlite pants you know what I'm talking about. I'm a size 34 and it is tight around the glutes then very baggy at the calfs thus making it feel like everything sags to the calfs. They should of made it tapered like the intercept with these. Good pants but not really good for the mobile guys. Really makes you feel restricted after a mile. You'll feel it. Because the material is really good it doesn't want to shrink much so the inseam will always be 32. I think if they had a 30 then the pant will fit nicely to shorter guys with shorter femur. Then the knees where it contour will fit nicely and not so restricted in stuff. In the end I will say the waist is ok tad smaller and tight around the glutes then straight cut to the calfs that is baggy. You literally need 20inch calfs to fill the pant

These pants fit great and feel amazing. I’m a female and 5’8 140lbs and got size 30R in men’s since they don’t have a women’s specific style for these yet. The 30R fit great and I see these being my go to pants for the early season. The side vent zipper is also a great added touch to these pants.

Fit, feel and quality are excellent. The comfort is top notch. So, why three stars? The fact that these pants don't have a back pocket was something I thought I could get past. It is not. Not having a back pocket means that everything has to be carried in the two zippered thigh pockets or in the traditional front pockets. Again, I thought I could get over this issue but I simply can't. These pants need at least one back pocket. If they had at least one back pocket I would give them 5 stars.

Got some new property that needed some habitat improvement. But here in Virginia ticks and mosquitoes are a real thing through the whole summer. These pants, and the same top, have been life savers in keeping the bugs off of me, and light weight enough that 80-100 degree days with a chainsaw are doable.

I’m looking forward to using these in early deer and spring turkey seasons. Longer review pending. I’m 6’2, 210 and usually wear a 36”. My Stratus bibs are L (I should have gotten LT just to make shoulder straps longer). I tried a 36”T in this pant, and while it fit my waist, I didn’t like how tailored the legs were. I’m guessing some hunters like slimmer pants to reduce snags, but I don’t stalk like a cat. Sizing up to the 38T gave the perfect amount of leg room without ballooning the waistline and didn’t seem to jump very much from the 36s. If you want a little more room in the thigh, sizing up shouldn’t be a problem and may give you some versatility with layering.

I bought these pants mainly for camping, and they have performed flawlessly. Brought them on a 10-day canoe trip to BWCA, and they held up very well and were worn just about every day. The cuffs do a great job of keeping the pants down and keeping ticks out. The diagonal pockets double as extra ventilation zips and work pretty well when sitting, the side ventilation zips are awesome. The small front pocket worked perfect for a pair of pliers I always have on me while fishing. I don't mind that there's no rear pockets as I don't want anything in my back pockets in a canoe. The pants also do a great job at protecting from mosquitoes, I've wore them 20+ days in the woods now and don't know if I've gotten a single bite through them. They have some stretch but still feel very rugged. They soak up water quite easily, but also dry fairly fast. I normally wear 32x32 and got the 32T, they fit perfect around the waist, and are a bit long but it helps to keep them down to my shoes while sitting.

I have several pairs of these pants in different colors that I hunt in as well as wear to work. Working outdoors all summer is challenging with ticks and chiggers. I’d have to spray my pants down with insect repellent constantly. These pants have eliminated all that and I never have a problems with ticks or chiggers while wearing.

Super disappointed in this pant. I am a loyal Sitka customer but they definitely missed the mark on this one. The pant does not breath at all and once wet, stays wet. Bought these for a trip to the Congo and after the first day, they are shelved for the rest of the trip.

My first pair of adult hunting pants had a tie at the bottom to slow down bug penetration. It’s about time someone added something similar to a clothing line! I purchased these the 1st ad I received from Sitka! They fit true to size and will be tested during spring turkey in WA 2023.

I just returned from 2 weeks in South Africa. Guys were pulling ticks off their legs left and right every night, but I never found one. The internal gaiter is a game changer. With the increase in lymes and other tick-borne illnesses, it's almost silly not to be wearing this when you're on hunts in insect heavy areas.

This is a must have if you hate ticks/chiggers/no-see-ums. Basically anything that likes to bite will be stopped by this product. I hunted all last season in the turkey camo set up and called in 3 times begging them to make it available in an everyday color that I could wear around the house and out playing yard games with friends/family.

I'm glad to see Sitka make these in a big guy size! Light weight, breaths nice and the zip vents/pockets are awesome. I will get a second pair. 1 season in the woods and they are holding up well. The reenforced pocket stitching where you clip your pocketknife is a nice touch.

Awesome warm weather pant, especially once the bugs come out and other lightweight pants will let bites through. Adaptable to a wide range of temperatures with a base layer when it gets colder — these are my go-to pants for spring through the end of archery season. Would love to see these offered in solids.

I took these pants archery elk hunting in September... LOVED them! For warmer weather and active pursuits, these pants breathe exceptionally well! The fabric breathes great, in addition to the hip vents and 45-degree angle mesh pockets! The fit was spot on for me and they felt great, especially hiking with a backpack. The fabric on the outside is quiet, very soft, and durable. For how lightweight and soft these pants are I was amazed at their durability as I took them through the thick brush and prickly country. The stretch is also great. I feel like these pants could easily be marketed toward more big-game pursuits. On those more chilly days, I layered with a merino long john and it worked great. Wouldn't recommend them for colder weather as that's not what they are made for. If you're looking for lightweight, quiet, breathable, stretchy, durable, and great-fitting pants the Equinox will fit your needs.

I absolutely love these pants. I wore them all season, except for one hunt. That one hunt where switched to a different brand made me a believer in the tech that is in these pants. That is the only day I had ticks on me all season. I hunted multiple States. Everything from the Swamps and Mountains of Tennessee to thickets of North Missouri. No ticks while wearing these.

Nice quality but sized WAY small in the waist. I am 6'2 and 225 and usually wear a 38 tall. Length was good but size up at least one size (maybe two) in the waist. The pants also sit a bit lower than actual waist - closer to hip huggers (for those of you who remember).

I bought the equinox hoody and really want to buy the pants but I feel like Sitka missed a great opportunity here to include pockets for knee pads. Not only are the knee pads great for turkey and elk hunting, the knee pads would be perfect for those hot early season whitetail hunts out of the saddle for some knee protection against the tree.

Equinox Guard Pants. I was a little skeptical about a pair of light weight hunting pants at the price point. After hunting all turkey season, I'm all in on them. Light enough for the humid VA turkey season and never had any bites from any of the spring bitters. Never found a tick anywhere on any price of the collection. Sizing was my normal 38' waist ( Wranglers, Carhartt and Sika) with enough room for a light bottom underneath on those cooler mornings if needed. I'm 6'-0'and 210 LBs. They do ride low like others have commented. My only complaint is the lack of back pockets but I knew that when I purchased them.

Pants are more than just a leg covering, they often are a critical gear in hunting. I plan on purchasing a pair in elevated II for this falls Archery Season but I am concerned that certain features such as a reliable place to hold the grunt tube as you work that target buck may be missing. I prefer a leg placement as it gets the grunt tube out of the way when drawing a bow. Nice to see Beau's comment here. I own about every piece for whitetail hunting from Sitka and it never lets me down hunting my property in Ohio or my hometown woods in PA. Keep up the great innovations.

I echo the comments of the other review, 'I just received my pants (28 Apr 22) and I ordered a size up based on previous comments and got a 40R' waist. They are exactly 2' too big for me and the legs aren't anywhere near tight.' These pants do not run small, they are true to size. I will be returning my 40R and going with 38R.

Interesting comments so far on the sizing. I just received my pants (19 Apr 22) and I ordered a size up based on previous comments and got a 40R' waist. They are exactly 2' too big for me and the legs aren't anywhere near tight. Maybe they shrink if you wash in hot water (you are supposed to use cold). I would call them the same as my other pants (mountain, equinox, ESW, stratus, and traverse) so I would say order your normal size. I can't see using these for layering underneath, but there is room to go light layer if you want. I will need to exchange these for 38R when they come back in stock.

These pants run a bit tight in the waisted, but fit well in length as well as thighs. I have always had tree trunks for legs. These pants are snug, not tight, and fit well. The cargo pocket could be a bit bigger, but it works well. I like the material for pocket knives. The interlocking cuff of the pants are great. They don't compress your legs, and provide plenty of overlap so no bugs crawl up your legs from your boots. Having insect guard and polygiene, help kill any stinks well as keep bugs off you. I think I like these more than the ESW pants. The ESW pants are thinner, less rigid, and stretch more than these pants. I am ok with having a thicker material to keep skeeters from biting my legs. They are a must have!!

Almost the perfect pant (for me). I’ve always wanted Sitka to add a heat vent to their Mountain pant to make the perfect all season pant. I was very excited to see these pants with a heat vent and zippered pockets (unlike the Apex). However, these pants do not have knee pad pockets. I think for the price of these, the mesh pockets should have been sewn in and then the customer could purchase knee pads if desired. I’m having my wife’s seamstress see them in and she said it’ll be easy and not expensive. If you don’t care about knee pads then these pants are a 5 star, but I’ve got to give 4 stars since they are important to me.

The Equinox Guard Pants are my favorite piece of hunting clothing that I've ever owned. They are so innovative. They provide me protection from ticks, chiggers, and mosquitos, yet they are quiet and comfortable. Their built-in, breathable zipper zones allow me to hunt the cool spring mornings and the hot southern afternoons in the same gear. I can't tell you how many people I've shown them to because they are a must-have.

The pant has the comfort of the grinder but provides reassurance against ticks and mosquitoes. Upon receiving the pants, there wasn’t any odor like other protectants have, not mention being concerned about any harmful liquids touching your skin. After using the pant I can confidently say I did not find a single tick on me after many sits beginning from mid April through the end of May.

I used the Guard Pant on every turkey hunt last spring and never pulled a single tick off my skin. Compared to when I used to only wear solid-colored pants so I could try spot ticks crawling on me before they reached my skin and picked up to a couple hundred off in a day, thousands a season!! They are quiet, breathe well with mesh backed vents, stretchy and super comfortable. They are similar to the Apex pant with some added features such as Insect Shield and tick stoppers. Tick borne diseases have scared the heck out of me because of my amount of exposure each year deer, turkey, waterfowl hunting and dog training. Lymes cases are high in the area I live and the effects of that disease can potentially kill you.

The Equinox Guard Pant is exceptionally lightweight and breathable for those warm spring mornings. The hip vents on the pants allow for maximum airflow, but the mesh inside keeps the bugs out. Along that line, having tick repellant along with the internal liners in the pants to tuck into your socks built into the garments is critical as ticks continue to get worse here in the northeast.
