Sitka Equinox Turkey Vest
I bought this at the end of the season to replace my back pack and fanny pack that I use so I have not got to use it in the field. Quality is great, plenty of storage for all my turkey hunting gear/gadgets. I manly run and gun, but I also like to sit in known turkey hot spots. I feel like this product will do well in both.

Turkey Vest
The vest itself is very easy to use, and universally adjustable to your body structure. My only complaint is that the foam cushion is very uncomfortable when sitting down for longer than 30 minutes. I had a Tom that wasn’t cooperating so I ended up having to stay put for a while against a tree line, and I could not get comfortable on that cushion whatsoever. I do recommend this product for the vest only, not so much the cushion.

Lightweight turkey vest
I like the equinox turkey vest very well it’s perfect for a long day on the mountain. The only change I would make is to switch the box call & mouth call pocket. I’m right handed & am used to having my right side unobstructed for quick pull up shots. Other than that I love the new vest it will be my new go to

This Turkey Vest is perfect for the run and gun hunter! Its fit is comfortable and stays in place. Its compartments are laid out well keeping all necessary essentials at your fingertips in a streamline manner without adding extra bulk. This allows me to move around quickly and confidently and has also allowed me to belly crawl into position more than once without being concerned of loosing calls or having them make noise. The back compartment is just big enough to store a layer or two as the morning heats up especially if you’re on the move. The seat is simple and effective, staying up close while walking and being right where you need it when sitting. The fit and finish is exactly what I would expect from Sitka!!! The only reason I give this vest a 4-star review is because I believe the system designed for carrying a turkey could use some fine tuning. It’s not something I use often, but after carrying a 20lb bird through the woods for over a mile there’s definitely a couple things I’d change on that. I’d start by having it be on both shoulders to disperse the weight better. I’d also recommend the addition of a light weight safety orange sack (similar to one a decoy would be carried in) that could be secured to the pack. I think it would help keep the bird in place and protected (for those who might want a mount done) while walking any distance through the woods. Overall as a guide, I strongly recommend this vest over any others on the market!

Run and gun vest missing some features.
I really like this vest for fast run&gun turkey hunting but I found a few areas that could use improvements. First the backpack could be a bit larger for stowing things like a puffy jacket, food bag and any extra layers. Where I hunt it can be 30deg before dawn and 55deg by 10am which means I will need a few layers to stay warm while stalking and sitting for turkeys. Next the attachment system for carrying out a bird once harvested sucks, I shot two birds back to back about 4 miles away from my truck and it was not fun trying to secure one and hand carry the other. Lastly I’d love to see the seat pad secured with a magnet instead of pull straps, magnets are quit and fast. Overall I enjoy this vest and will continue to use it although modifications may need to be made for it to work better for me.

Big West Turkey Vest
This thing is awesome!! I used to use a Knight and Hale run and gun 300.. It was a decent vest..but it’s really not built to hunt out west, sort of clunky pockets and pouches in weird places and hard to access… very uncomfortable when you add a shotgun and decoy bag with two full size decoys.. and the bag on the back is laughable… literally keys, tags maybe a sandwich… that’s it… full… layers you shed had to be tied on the back..more than once they were waded up in the bottom of the decoy bag because they kept coming loose from the pack… fine for when you’re going to be back to the truck in an hour or two.. just not my style of hunting. Stepped into the big leagues with the Equinox vest… A it literally holds all my hunting stuff perfectly secure and compartmentalized… B the pack on the vest holds plenty of water, has room for my stove, lunch and shed layers… C. VERY comfortable with the decoy bag on my back and shotgun.. no digging into your shoulder, straps getting all hung up on call pouches and such… just buy the damn vest… if you’re out ALL day chasing birds and won’t be back to the truck until night it won’t let you down… Plus it looks great with turkey blood on it!

The King of Turkey Vests.
The Turkey Vest, it’s not a new piece of gear. It’s been reinvented and reworked many times. The fit and finish is amazing. It’s a more rigid vest, doesn’t feel “floppy” or saggy. The zippered pockets on the inside are so nice! I didn’t actually realize how much I like this vest until I was pulling my decoy mid morning. I had my chair, my tripod strapped to the back of my vest. Grabbed my bow and decoy and realized how well thought out this piece of equipment is. 10 out of 10 would recommend

Outstanding turkey vest
I've owned just about every turkey vest under the sun looking for the perfect vest and there have been a couple good ones, but nothing that I considered great....until I bought this Sitka vest. I've had it for a year now and ran it through multiple states last season and it is just fantastic. I like it so much that I just might buy a backup in earth color. The only vest that I would consider replacing this with is whatever Sitka releases next.

Also pretty great for whitetail
I hunt predominantly whitetails, and this vest/pack is great for early season. I tend to take the vest off once I’m in position, and I really like how easily I can access the pack while still sitting on the pad. The box call pouch fits a narrow 750ml yeti plastic water bottle excellently. Striker pocket fits a deer call or knife. I can even toss my rangefinder in the pot call case. The turkey carry fits around my shooting sticks, which can be tucked through the arm hole for hands free transport. The seat gets the right comfort/thickness balance. Clasps don’t get in the way of binocular chest harness. My usual vest load: 2 large water bottles, 3 blades, ziplock bags/rubber gloves/paper towels, sandwich, snacks, rangefinder, 2 Phelps deer calls, extra shirt, orange vest, clamshell ear protection, ammo wallet, hunting gloves, headlamp, shooting sticks, keys, wallet, phone. And I find I have a decent amount of room left. I’ll certainly be using this for my fall and winter setup. With everything in the right place, I trim off time leaving my car and have greatly reduced my setup time in the field.
