exceptional design

In the past few years, I have revamped most of my hunting gear. It started with the Fanatic jacket and bibs and has continued with different items for layering. Each item is always a careful process of investigating the item, watching and reading reviews, and contemplating whether or not the purchase seems justified. Let’s be real! This stuff isn’t cheap!! However with each purchase, I find myself extremely happy that I’ve pulled the trigger. Each piece is exceptionally designed with function and fit for the hunter in mind. This Fanatic hoody is no exception. I expect it to be used heavily starting next fall.

love this hoodie ! could be a little heavier / warmer but that could be just me. i prefer not to wear a coat while hunting.

Fantastic Hoody

If you don’t have this hoodie, I highly recommend adding to your Sitka collection. I’ve used it elk hunting in the mountains of Wyoming and I use it White Tail hunting in Georgia. It performs as advertised. Great for layering; breath’s well on the move. I love all my Sitka gear. Why, because it works!

Getting use to the sleeves

Getting use to the sleeves being longer with the thumb hole. But so far so good. Hard to find any complaint so far

Great product! Warm when worn under something with wind blocker, but it breaths well by itself. I wear mine walking in and use a Stratus jacket on top for cooler hunts.

Warm for shoulder season

practical features for daily field use. The face covering’s warmth lends to, with layering, gives extensibility into colder temperatures protection. Light weight for ample layering.

Fanatic Hoody

Throw this over the 330 merino wool half-zip and under an ambient jacket and you can hunt all the way down to about 25 degrees all day. Toss the fanatic jacket on top after that and you can hunt to below zero very comfortably.

Sitka fanatic hoody

Really is a great and comfortable layering piece for me. Not super warm on its own, but the face mask and form fitting hood function great under other outer layers. The material is very comfortable and stretchy. Probably would be a great stand alone piece for early season hunts, but I got it later in the fall. Looking forward to using it next year for turkey season and early archery next year!

This is a great hoody, I love the fit and features and I’m very happy they brought it out in Subalpine finally!

Every Day

It seems like I wear this hoody every time I hunt. Great to wear early when it gets cool in the evening and you don’t want a lot of bulk great in the late season to get started, and add to it.

Awesome base layer, and durable enough for use early in the season. Got it in subalpine and it looks amazing!

Fanatic hoodie is fantastic

Wore this recently on a whitetail hunt in Saskatchewan as part of my mid-layers. The built in hoodie with face mask was a nice option to have when needed. The thumb loops keep the sleeves where you want them and add a little additional protection for your hands. I would buy again.
