I purchased this because I love the one I hunt in but didn't want to ruin it. I wear this thing everyday it's cold out. It's my go-to!

Fanatic Hoody

True to size for someone that is within their proper BMI. Snug due to me not being in my proper BMI. Size I purchased was a Large. The hoody is bulky/lose for me because it is built to accommodate wearing a ball cap and I don't wear a ball cap with it. I would recommend making the thumb hole portion toward the end of the sleeve into a wedge/triangle of spandex or other stretchy material. Every time I get my thumb in the thumb hole and pull the sleeve the rest of the way on, I pull on the seem and sounds like I am popping a thread/stretching to it's limit. Just a thought.

Its just FANtastic

This is a great earlier bow season or mid to late season for a layer. I like it so much I bought a non camo color for regular wear

Perfect all around hoody

Perfect for those 40-50 degree days with a baselayer underneath or as a baselayer when layering with a puffy and shell in 20-30 degree weather. The large tall size is perfect - I originally bought a XLT and it was way too big.

Great hoodie

This is a great hoodie love the fit and light weight. The built in face mask fits great. I was able to not wear gloves for the first 2 hours of a hunt at 30 degrees do to the built in hand covers. I would recommend this hoodie

Surpassed all expectations

I purchased this hoody along with the rest of the incinerator gear set. I was concerned it wouldn’t be warm enough because of how thin it was but I ended up being dead wrong. Hunting in weather ranging from single digits through 50s I barely touched my outer shell. Whether sitting for hours at a time or walking miles through thick brush and thorns this was my go-to piece of kit. No snags or tears and no wind sapping my heat.

Best Work-Horse hoody around

I've been using this hoody for a lot of things, not only is it warm when it needs to be but as a stand alone doesn't swamp you our with heat. I absolutely love it and if I were to recommend one piece of sitka this would be it!

Great Product

Honestly love the brand, never bought anything not worth the money. It was a complaint before I bought any. Then I decided to just try it. And bam, I’m hooked. Wont buy anything but Sitka now.

All season piece!

This hoody is awesome. Well made. Comfortable, light, and very warm. This is a piece I wear from mid season all the way till the end of flintlock in January. This is one piece everyone should definitely have and should definitely start with.

Great addition

I waited and waited to purchase this but I’m glad I did, very comfortable and fits perfectly, I’m 5’9 187lbs athletic build and I got a large. Can’t wait to use it for the very first time.

This hoody is amazing, I

This hoody is amazing, I expected something super heavy duty and what I mean by that is I expected super thick material that was going to be over kill but with the light material and the technology behind it this thing is perfect. Not super bulky at all. The built in hand mitt is a super nice touch. I am also super impressed with the sizing. Sitka for me typically runs small when I order a large so I ordered a large tall and that was big to me. I feel like if I ordered a large it would have been perfect. That tells me that Sitka is listening and making the large’s the appropriate size now. Super impressed with this hoody. I wore it at a twins game when it was 40 and windy. The hoody alone was perfect for it surprisingly.

This is my third one

This is my third one to buy, I lost my 1st one to my PH in Zimbabwe after he seen it and how functional it was. Bought another one when I got back and wore it all deer season and decided I needed another one to since I wear it so much. Going back to Namibia in June and it will be one of my essentials for sure. Love the built in face mask for concealment while stalking or turkey hunting. Great quality like all the other Sitka products i have. 6'3' 250 and XL fits great. Highly recommend.

I purchased my Fanatic Hoody

I purchased my Fanatic Hoody after hearing about how good it is from a friend. I cannot recommend this hoody enough. It is absolutely fantastic. The fit is awesome and quality is top notch. I have worn this hoody every week since purchasing. Worth every penny on our chilly Mn spring days. I’m excited for Hunting season this fall.

I’m 6’2”, broad shouldered, and weigh in at 300lbs. I’m built like a nfl linebacker who had a few too many cheeseburgers…with that said, the 3X fanatic hoodie fits me great! It’s warm, comfortable, and quiet. Highly recommend this hoodie

Another great product. The material

Another great product. The material feels great . I layer it with heavyweight long sleeve and when it get real cold the stratus jacket. I enjoy the cool features with the hoody and the “gloves” in the sleeve. For fit I’m 6’ 220 and the Xl fits great.

This hoodie is a must have! I can't say enough about how comfortable it is. The features on it are awesome. From the built in face mask to the built in hand mittens, sitka nailed it when they made this hoodie!!

Piece of gear that no

Piece of gear that no diehard bow hunter should live without. It breathes well enough for those long walks in and is perfect to get you through most of the season with a light jacked ontop of it. I’m 6’4” 185 and the MT is a great fit as a base or mid layer with a light weight base with plenty stretch for full range of motion.

Excellent, fast drying warm and comfortable. The hood with built in face mask is great. My only complaint is the straight bottom kangaroo pouch. Stuff falls out sometimes. I have read some people don't like the flip down mitts. I like these Alot. I put hand warmers inside of them. They break any gap of cold air getting up your sleeves. Love it

This hoody rocks. Love the

This hoody rocks. Love the different material on the face mask comparative to the core lightweight hoody. Find myself rolling the sleeves back at the cuffs almost every time though. Prefer this over the first lite origin. Starting to get some piling on this more so than my other Sitka gear. The length is a touch annoying when I want to reach for it when not hunting, but, that aint what it was built for :)

Outstanding comfort, movement and warmth

Outstanding comfort, movement and warmth without the bulkiness of other base layers. I used it in Alaska as a base layer and it kept me warm without causing me to sweat.

I’m mad I waited this

I’m mad I waited this long to pull the trigger. Can’t wait to buy the rain gear as well. I’m a stocky guy, 5’11, 250~ and XL fits perfectly. Not too tight, not too baggy, easy to layer for cold days but this is plenty warm on its own. Also love walking to my stand and not sweating.

Fantastic piece of equipment. Very

Fantastic piece of equipment. Very well engineered. They run a bit on the smaller side which is ok for a base layer. They do have a ton of stretch. I am 5 11 and 175 lbs the large was perfect. The sleeves are long which I like, most base layers will shrink after washing and your sleeves are short not this hoodie. The back is extra long to keep drafts out. The hood is great it moves with your head and does not obscure your view like most hoodies. The mouth and nose cover is great for really cold days. I hunt in both Wyoming and Michigan and I have to say this is my favorite piece of gear. I bought one for my wife for a four day hike and camping expedition in the Grand Canyon in late November she absolutely loved it. We she got back she bought another one! Not cheap but worth the money.

I was somewhat skeptical reading

I was somewhat skeptical reading the reviews but pulled the trigger and tried it out, and am very glad I did. Not a fan of the extra long sleeves with the mitten thing. I quickly learned to roll them back as I have no need for them. Looking at taking it to my local seamstress and having them cut off. Other than the long sleeves I absolutely love this hoodie! With a base layer under the hoodie and a warming layer, Patagonia puffer, and I'm good to around 30 degrees. Below 30 and I still have some gear weaknesses but plan to upgrade in the next year, stratus or fanatic not sure yet. Wish Sitka offered this hoodie without the long sleeves as an option. 9 out of 10 only because of the sleeves.

A bit too long in

A bit too long in the tail and too snug in the forearms. Will be tough to wear a long sleeve baselayer under this and still have mobility to draw.

I love this hoody. I

I love this hoody. I run hot most of the time and this hoody breathes really well. If the temp isn’t too cold, you just need a shell to block the wind and trap the heat. If it’s cold, you’ll need more than a shell, but this piece is very versatile.

An absolute must have for

An absolute must have for your hunting system. We wear it early, mid, and layer it up for late season. This is arguably Sitka’s most versatile piece of gear and we have zero complaints.

Love this piece. Best thing I have gotten from Sitka so far, because it is so versatile.

Combine with a wind shirt

Combine with a wind shirt or wind breaker jacket. Love the features on this jacket. When worn solo I find myself wishing the zipper pocket location was different but as I said this works best as a layering piece. I use this for running and hiking.

Got blessed to Draw Iowa

Got blessed to Draw Iowa this year! It was 28 degrees I had the Stratus bibs/jacket, Beanie and Fanatic Hoodie with mask on as base layer and was very comfortable. Great product Wish Sitka made tall sizes in everything. I’m 6.3 240 had a 2XLT XLT would’ve been fine.

I love this hoodie. I wore it in the stand with a set of base layers under it and my fanatic bibs and jacket over it in 24-degree weather and stayed extremely warm. I am 6'3' and 238 lbs. and the 2xl fit great.

For anybody wondering if they

For anybody wondering if they should pull the trigger and buy this. It’s a no brainer, yes. The sizing fits true. I’m 6’0 210. XL fits nicely with room for base layers. The built in face mask attached to the hood is awesome. I’d give this 6 stars if it was an option.

I bought this this year

I bought this this year after staring at the whitetail lineup for over a year. If you are on the fence, get off of it. It's probably by far my favorite new piece of gear. The built in gloves make it so I don't have to bring a set with me in light weather and same with the built in facemask, which unlike some other masks I find to be not as annoying and will easily ride under my chin until I need it. The inside of this is nice and comfortable but it's not a thick sweatshirt. With a merino layering you can get this down into the 40s with no wind. It has one downfall which is the lack of WINDSTOPPER (my only reason for 4 stars). This is a piece which could absolutely benefit from it for the guys who hunt those warmer fall days with a little wind and don't really need a jacket. I watched many reviews on this and I would echo the thoughts that if you're thinking about getting into the whitetail lineup, this should be one of your first pieces. I am 5-10 260 and bought a 2XL and it fits perfectly. And the back panel extends down a bit to either stay tucked into your pants or provide coverage while in the tree stand.

Excellent first layer. I’m an

Excellent first layer. I’m an Alabama hunter and we don’t need as many layers as most. This is perfect. Smooth outer layer with an extra soft, warm interior. Long sleeves are actually long enough NOT coming up too short for my long arms. Hoodie with built in mask eliminates the need to buy one. I’ve bought two to make sure I always have a clean one available.

I know people are leaving

I know people are leaving reviews about wearing this hoodie for sitting around the house and doing chores. This is a piece of invaluable hunting gear. It has been part of my layering system for a month of PA archery season. Lots of cooler days this year and this hoodie mostly as a mid layer has impressed me. The mitts on the end of the sleeves are awesome. The hood and face mask are genius. And the EVII camo has made me invisible to deer. Don’t know the science behind the camo but I have had deer catch my movement and if I stay still, within a minute they are relaxed again, even staring straight at me.

I’m 511 225 weight lifter

I’m 511 225 weight lifter with a little gut and XL fits perfect. Have been using this as base layer for bow hunting and it is irks perfect. I also think it will work great as base layer when snowmobiling this winter.

I’m using this as a

I’m using this as a 1st layer over my base layer to hike into my tree stand and I then layer up. First time out it was right at 40F and I waited about two hours before I felt like I needed to add a layer. One thing I noticed right away is that having the thumb holes helps in adding a layer and the slickness of the material makes it slide right into the next layer without much effort. Also found the mittens to be a nice addition good to just get the cool air off the fingers but you can quickly have them exposed if needed. The length of the sleeves is what really makes me love this product. I’m 6’5” with extra long arms and the long version fits perfectly!

This was my first piece

This was my first piece to buy from Sitka. I have since bought about 12 different pieces because of the quality and fit. This is one of my favorite pieces to wear big game hunting. I choose to wear this instead of my core heavy hoody because it has hand pouch up front and the mitts. The only thing that would make this better is if it was offered in subalpine.

This piece is used during

This piece is used during bow season in Missouri (Oct.). I really enjoy the built in facemask and it is very breathable even in warmer temps. I've scouted in July with this hoody on, shot with it, and even worn it when it chills off hanging out on the back porch. Yes I'll sweat in it but it is never so much that I would rather take it off thanks to the zipper that runs down to my sternum. I'm 6'2 185 and the LT fits me well. My only gripe is the hand muffs that are built in. I don't use them at all and I'll instead wear the fanatic glove.

Expensive, but I liked it
