Great deer hunting coat

Very warm and comfortable. Front zipper can be a little cumbersome. Fits a little smaller, so if planning to wear much under go one size up.

Fanatic Jacket Review

Living in Pennsylvania, and participating in late season tree climber, white tail deer hunting, necessitated me to have winter hunting clothing that protected me not only from significant humid, frigid temperatures, but also strong sustained winds on top of a mountain range where I frequently hunt. The Fanatic Jacket provides excellent protection from the elements that I just described. It is a great addition to my late season hunting clothing system. Thank you Sitka for another outstanding product. I wear a size Large Stratus Jacket, but I had to utilize an extra large Fanatic Jacket due to the Sitka clothing system I wear underneath the Fanatic Jacket while static tree climber hunting/sitting (Sitka Core Heavy Weight base-layer Hoodie, Sitka Fanatic Hoodie). I wear the above Sitka Clothing System items (minus the Fanatic Jacket), plus an insulating jacket, when temperatures start to drop in mid-season, under my size Large Sitka Stratus Jacket without any issues for mid-to early late season hunting, but I had to upgrade to an Extra Large Fanatic Jacket to accommodate just my Sitka Core Heavy Weight Hoodie Base-Layer and my Mid-Layer (Fanatic Hoodie). I am 6 foot and weigh approximately 195 pounds (in good shape with a combination muscular but cardiovascular fit body style). I hope this review helps.

Don’t hesitate, buy it now!

I spent 3 hours the other morning in the deer stand with light to moderate rain…my boots and hat were soaked, as was the jacket, but NOTHING under it got wet…I went back that evening and got drowned for another 3 hours, to my surprise my under layers were STILL dry. 6 hours of hunting in the rain in the same day and it still kept me warm/dry 11/10 recommend!

Solid Product

Finally pulled the trigger on this after saving up. To be able to sit and completely focus on the hunt and not be cold at all is such a game changer. Worth every penny!

Excellent jacket and fits very well. Do not get this jacket if you’re wanting it for mild weather. It is for cold weather and it works really well.

I first got the xl worried that I would grow out of the large eventually but the xl seemed huge on me and super long, the large for me is perfect.

I wish it came with a size warning. These jackets run small. I need to return it to get bigger size.

Warmest jacket I’ve ever had!

Got it because I’ve had the fanatic bibs for a few seasons now. I can honestly say this is warmest and most comfortable still sit jacket I own. This thing keeps me warm and toasty in 17 degree weather hanging in a tree. The only downside is that it is bulky and you cannot walk into a place to hunt with it on cause you will sweat to death. But ultimately worth it completely.

Fanatic Jacket

Great jacket for those cold windy days. Only down side is it Doesn't pack down that well. I use the tool bucket which isn’t the largest pack in the world either! I would say the warmth that this jacket provides outweighs the bulk in brings to your pack when you are hiking in miles in the core of Appalachia with elevation gains and loses of hundreds of feet. Even tho I am satisfied for now with this jacket’s performance I’d like to see further improvements in the gear for guys like me. Not everyone hunts the “flat” Midwest for whitetails.

Huge Fanatic Fan

I was looking for a system that would keep me warm on those below 30’f days and I absolutely found it. This jacket is so comfortable and warm without being bulky or bunching up. Love the front hand pouch and chest pockets. Ordering the Fanatic Bibs now. Great product, well made and couldn’t be more pleased with it. Thank you a Sitka!!

Super warm and so comfortable

I never thought I would spend this much for a jacket. I have tried a lot of the other brands and they were either not comfortable or it didn’t block the wind and keep me warm. This jacket is so comfy and warm that I invested in the entire Sitka Fanatic layering system. Down to 19 degrees and windy and I was warm, comfortable and toasty while sitting in the tree stand.

Fanatic jacket and bibs are a must if you are a whitetail hunter who hunts in cold conditions plus ultra quiet for bow or gun. Been hunting for over 45 years definitely my go to on most hunts

I’ve been skeptical about Sitka for a while sheerly because of the price. I bought the jacket and hoodie during the black Friday sale and was able to test them out during Ohio’s extended gun season. It was 25 plus 15 mph wind gust that day. I was on the edge of a cut soybean field taking a beating by that wind. The forested wind stopper was a game changer and I wasn’t a bit cold. Definitely turned me into a believer and I have the bibs on the way now too. I will say the fit is a little awkward for me with the cross zipper. I’m 6’ and 185lbs with a little padding on my frame lol. I think that a tall version or a size up may have been better for me but still been too big at the same time. It may just take some getting used to the cross zipper too.

Amazing jacket. DEFINITELY NEEDS A HOOD!!! 2x too tight in the shoulders and arms too short so got a 3x. Swimming in it. Shoulders fine and arms good, bottom feels like a bell. It's huge. Product itself is awesome, sizing a little off. Removable hood a must

This coat goes everywhere with me. I love to wear this as the weather cools. I never leave home without it because it works in cool to ferocious cold weather. I carry fewer layers with me because it works in so many conditions. Thats why it's my wooby.

Warm jacket

The best hunting coat I ever purchased. I wore it all rifle season and barely needed anything under it. I plan on buying the matching bibs to go with it before next year.
