Actually really like the design and fit with one minor con

I have tried ALL the ones out there at this point and I have the same issue from all of them. Being a skinny fella they all slide down while seated and rest on the top of my stomach. This causes discomfort after a while and the only way to reduce it is to tighten the side straps so much I can hardly breath. However with this design it seems to stay put a lot better. Its light and the harness itself doesnt feel hot or bulky. Material and quick release design is super cool and much different then all the others out there so kudos to Sitka for that. Front closure clip is easy to use and quiet and remove able rangefinder pouch is a nice touch. Side pockets are a good size and rear pocket fits a phone perfectly so I love that aspect. Cons - I dont love the flap opening toward you, I really wish they did it forward opening like a lot of the others. Not a big deal if you are western hunting or stalk hunting but sitting in a tree stand it just gets in the way imo. Not a huge deal but just my personal preference. Adjustment isnt as fast as standard designs. if you are going from thick cloths to light cloths you really need to adjust it before putting it on. You dont have the easy adjustable straps onces on. Yes you can adjust them some while on but its not easy to move the straps if you need to tighten or loosen them a good bit. Bino tether is fairly useless where its added. Wish they would have integrated it inside the harness vs outside of it and use a better attachment end. its just a nylon cord with no clip. From my binos the side holes to attach it to are way to small to fit the cord through so i have to find some other item to attach to the tether and then to my binos. The rangefinder tether is great and well thought out, seems the bino tether was just an afterthought to slap something on there. Again not a big deal for me as I dont generally use the tether strap.

Good bino harness.

Well thought out bino harness. Pockets for everything. I only give it a 4 because my 10 x 50 binos fit but the lid barely closes. Same with the ranger finder.

Best of the harnesses

I’ve owned all the Sitka harnesses and this is by far the best. I’m right in between the sizes so might go with the bigger one next time but no issues with the smaller one on me.

Good harness

The harness itself fit is very good I’m 6ft 220. I’m not to overly impressed with the binocular fit itself. Now with that said here is why. 10x42 leopolds with built in range finder. They are tight I mean you cant use one hand to pull out or return to its original resting place. If I use a regular 10x42 it is manageable. The closure tab with the string clasp is an undesirable system for me. A magnetic closure would be more desirable. The back of the pack has a cheap piece of foam for the rigidness again very cheap. There is an internal pocket that snags the binos when pulling them out or returning to resting. I have a lot of Sitka gear I really like the fir and finish of the clothing previously purchased but this harness is not up to there standards I think it needs a little more tweaking.

I owned the Mountain harness

Comfortable but no accesories

I really like the idea of this Bino harness. Not only does it match the camo of the rest of my hunting outfits, but it is also very comfortable. However, there are a lot more downsides than upsides. It only comes with one tether for the binoculars, and that tether wouldn’t even fit on my binoculars. There is only one accessory pouch that comes with it, and there will not be any extra accessories made for it. Any accessories that somebody might want for this—there are a ton of them that a lot of people are going to want—you’re gonna have to purchase from a third-party manufacturer, and there is no other manufacturer that makes accessories for this that has the licenses to use any of the matching camo colors.

Innovative, outside the box clasp

I like the new way to get it off, I like the comfort of carrying it. The actual bino holder rocks a bit forward from how I’d like. I ordered the xl expecting it to fit my zeiss 10x54s. It’s not big enough to shut the clasp. I used my wife’s Zeiss 10x42s for a 10 day back pack hunt in the Yukon, and they were swimming in it. I’m not sure what size in particular the xl would have been made for. Love the innovation, not sure on the size

Almost Perfect

I really like the innovation of how the straps connect to the holder. I feel like it’s very well built and will put up with extreme abuse. it fits me extremely well and balances with 10 power vortex binoculars. Two things that I’m not crazy about, one is that it only comes with one tether to connect to your binoculars, and the other is the range finder pouch is undersized, it will not fit my Nikon rangefinder.

I love the ease of

I love the ease of putting this on. Have not tested in the field yet but, I believe I will really like this design. Only time will tell if the plastic clips used to lock the system in will hold up. Sitka says they have no plans to make additional accessories for this harness. I believe this is an opportunity missed as I know several Sitka enthusiasts that use the Marsupial harnesses due to their adaptability. I purchased the XL because I could not nd any information on how well the t would be when wearing thick cold weather layers like the Fanatic

Definitely an upgrade but the bino pocket is not as big as the regular harness from Sitka , I have that harness as well - Sitka, please think about making the bino pocket bigger to accommodate the larger binos with 50 mm lens

Finally!

I'm a firm believer in using what works in the woods. I used a Badlands bino case for 8 years because it worked for me. Compact, snug and mostly quiet. I secretly hoped Sitka would one day bring one to market that didn't take up my whole chest and I didn't have to think about my bow string getting caught on the shot. This did it! Compact, snug, extremely quiet and the most comfortable case ever! Go ahead and make it in Subalpine and Optifade Cover please. I don't need more than one, but......
