Sitka Fishing For The Win!!!

After owning several sets of Sitka hunting gear from lightweight turkey garments to all season bowhunting gear, I was stoked to find out they were getting into the fishing game. My first purchase was the Guard Sun Hoodie and it did not disappoint! It performed better than any sun protection clothing I have ever worn. Seven days stalking bonefish on Caribbean flats without the need for sunscreen was awesome. The Guard Sun Hoodie was comfortable, lightweight, and quick drying. The design of the collar and hood provides better coverage than any other sun hoody I own. Can't wait to wear it in the drift boat when things heat up during the summer guide season. I am 5'11" and 200 lbs and the large fit great.

Wore two of these shirts

Wore two of these shirts on my recent fishing trips. I loved them. I thought they might be too thin but they kept me really cool in the sun and they are my first with hoods which was nice keeping the sun off my neck. They also kept those pesky skeeters from biting through.

Needs some tweaking

Sitka needs to get rid of the high turtle neck style of the shirt. It serves no purpose. It’s just high enough to pull my neck hairs but too short to cover any part of the face.
