Hudson Jacket - Gift to Spouse

We love Sitka, it is an amazing brand and does everything it is supposed to do. My spouse is 6'1 and 180 pounds. We tried the L and it was too small in the shoulders and too short on the sleeves. We tried the LT and the arms were too long. So, we went with the XL and it fits great on length shoulders and arms, just a little big in the belly area. Everything else is perfect.

I like the Hudson jacket because it is lightweight, Flexible, and warm. I like all the pockets, straps, and water proof zippers.

Bought it during the summer cause I got a deal, but have wanted this jacket for years. I’ve tried other brands, and they always eventually leak. Guys I hunt with wearing the Hudson jacket never had a problem. I’m looking forward to wearing it!

Perfect for my trip to Iceland

The brown Hudson coat was is exactly what I needed for my trip to Iceland. The size large fit is perfect. Rain proof and warm. The Hudson jacket is terrific.

Hudson Classic

I have one already in Marsh and have always wanted it in a Timber so I already know the fit and finish on these jacket. Great for late season hunt in the Louisiana. Pricey but got it at a good post season sale and I can say worth every dollars. I like Sitka attention to functions and details.

OK, this review comes with

OK, this review comes with a caveat: it is Summer and I have not yet tested this jacket out on the mud flats at 32° but upon perusal, I like what I see. It has a very soft inside liner, makes no "crunchy" noises when I move around in it, the hood isn't overly large so as to block my view and it comes with very handy bilateral (and removable) call lanyards. I chose this one over another high end brand and I think I made the right decision.

Highly versatile jacket

Second review of this jacket. First was a duck hunt in Arkansas during the freeze of January 2024. Unbelievable jacket. Perfect in every way. Wind, freezing temps and driving rain the week after the big feeeze. This review comes after a recent fishing trip to Alaska. Temps 45-55 each day. Light to moderate winds on the bay. Could not have been more perfect jacket again. Warm and wind proof on the boat ride out. Very comfortable. The same flexible movement from duck shooting motions with a shotgun carries over to hauling in 150-200 lb halibut. Greatest and most versatile jacket ever!

One of my favorite Sitka jackets. Designed for hunters by hunters. Love the weight and the pockets. I own four of them, one at each of my use duck club, as well as one at home.

The Hudson is awesome. It is not a bulky jacket and still leaves room to layer under if needed. Tons of mobility with the stretchy shoulders. It is indeed waterproof and wind proof. It is very warm as well. Looking forward to next season.

The Hudson Jacket works great

The Hudson Jacket works great for both early or late season. Early I wear it on rainy days to keep me dry. Late season I pair with my Duck Oven jacket which works well and by design I have low bulk, warmth and freedom of movement. Couldn’t be any happier with the Hudson Jacket.

Really nice rain and wind

Really nice rain and wind jacket. Absolutely water proof and wind proof. It handles the worst the columbia river gorge has to offer. I've noticed if you have to dress down in the weather for a bathroom break or something it can be hard to put back on. Any bit of water on your hands or sleeves when you go to slide back through makes the fabric very sticky and it can be hard to slide it back on... otherwise this is my favorite jacket for fishing and hunting in the heavy rain and wind.
