Jacket fits super weird. I wear everything in an xl as far as tops go. This is tight in the shoulders loose in the waist. It’s supposed to be flexible but feels like I can’t move my arms in it. In my opinion it is not warm at all once the weather gets 30 or less my Dakota hoody is warmer. And because of the fit I can’t wear it over the Dakota hoody. The zipper hangs up all the time. If you’re looking for a rain jacket it does that well but it is not a cold weather jacket in my opinion.

Horrible when it rains. The neck collar wicks the rain right down your chest. The hood should be like the new Blizzard Pro. It wraps around and connects with the jacket itself therefore allowing the rain to run down the outside of the jacket. And the wrist always leak down your arms. They don’t seal properly. This is my second Hudson. Even in a light to moderate rain, I’m still getting wet. 52 years of hunting the south Louisiana marshes and the fields of Oklahoma. I was thinking about getting this Blizzard Pro but I’m not convinced that it will keep me dry and warm. IN MY OPINION…

Lack of pockets, weird sizing
For the money, this jacket should be loaded with pockets for waterfowl hunting. The absence of lower slash pockets is hard to get used to. I also had to buy an XL and XXL to see what fit me better. I ended up keeping the XXL, but I've done the same thing with other Sitka items. Sometimes the XL fits, sometimes I have to get an XXL. If this jacket wasn't on sale, I'd have returned it. So far, it has been ok, as we have not encountered any bad weather this season. We'll see how it does with upcoming storms.

You will never know what being completely waterproof and windproof will do for you until you try it. If you hunt big open water and are tired of being soaking wet by the time you arrive at your spot in the lake or if you hunt in wet conditions the Hudson bibs and jacket is almost a must. I can't believe I suffered for so long without it. Great product, recommend.

Great Jacket - Arm Cuffs Already Ripped
This thing is a great (minus one thing). the jacket is plenty warm and nice simple design that just makes sense and isn’t too bulky. Only reason for a 3 star is that the after a couple days of hunting one of the arm cuffs already ripped and is stretched out. I get that they are made of the material they are and supposed to keep water out and sit tight on your wrist but they already ripped, super disappointing this happened especially coming from a $600 jacket.

Really like this jacket. I would love to see hand warmer pockets behind the lower cargo pockets. There are “wader” height hand warmer pockets. But lower hand warmer pockets lay at a more comfortable location. Everything else is on point.

Very versatile
I picked up the Hudson Jacket last week. I got it to wear in later duck season but we had a 35 degree rainy morning and I threw it my boat no my way to the lake fishing. I am very glad I did too. It kept me dry, warm, and on the water. Very comfortable and ease of movement. It has really good warm with a lot less weight than many coats. It’s a winner!

Premium quality at a premium price
Full disclosure, I would not have purchased it at full price. Got it at the 349. 99 sale and I’m very pleased. At 6’5 and 270 I have a hard time finding gear that fits well for my body size. The sizing chart measurements were accurate and the xxl tall fits great with plenty of room to use multiple other layers and fits over the waders nicely. My main complaint is the hoods lack of rear drawstring to pull the sides of the hood rearward so you peripheral vision isn’t as blocked. First timeout with it I hunted in the rain for four hours and I had some slight wetness in the shoulders which might have been from moisture intrusion through the neck. But that was acceptable considering the weather.

Great product slow shipping
Jacket is great, but shipping from Sitka is nearly two weeks on my last few purchases. I buy an item and it sits in KY for at least a week before it even ships from the origin of label. This has happened with two Kelvin vests and a Hudson jacket. I'll likely not have this latest purchase in time for the hunt again this time.
