Great hunting jacket. Lightweight and extremely warm. Good is very functional, also. Fits exactly as it should. Do not order a size larger, it has plenty of room. Absolutely love it!

This jacket is super warm and will be a great outer layer. The jacket runs a little big, but with more layers I don’t think it will be a problem

Great jacket for cold & wind

As I have gotten older, staying warm on. Cold weather hunts has gotten harder and harder. After hiking up to 7,000 feet on a Mule Deer hunt in Colorado, I pulled of layers and through on this jacket while we glassed the herd we tracked. The winds were a steady 20 MPH with 30-35 MPH gusts. I stayed warm the entire time, no wind penetrated the jacket, with two lite weight layers underneath, my movement was not restricted, I was comfortable, and with the hood cinched a bit, my ears and head were warm as can be. This is becoming my new favorite jacket for windy, cold conditions

The material was awesome and the material felt nice, but I felt like the Michelin man. I typically wear large or XL in Sitka, but this draped over me. If my shoulders weren't so broad, I could probably wear a medium.

Does the job

Great warmth, packs down to a small size. However in extreme cold the shell material becomes loud and sounds like you’re wearing a plastic trash bag.

Took this on a plains

Took this on a plains whitetail hunt. I was a little skeptical, but this jacket kept me warm and in the field longer. Very happy with the purchase. I wear a large Jetstream and bought this in a large - big enough to easily fit over the Jetstream jacket comfortably. Whatever size you usually wear in Sitka, order that size to fit over your other layers.

Ordered this jacket specifically to use during 3rd season elk hunts in Colorado. As I've gotten older, staying warm on these types of hunts has become more difficult for me. Whether it was long hours spent glassing in the cold and wind or traveling on an open side-by-side in near zero-degree temps, this jacket kept me very comfortable. Which allowed me to stay in the field longer. It compressed surprising well into my pack, so it wasn't a burden when not in use. Overall, very happy with the performance.

Love this jacket

Got this jacket in a men’s large and it’s definitely big on me (women’s medium). That said, I wore it when it was windy and 7 degrees here in Alaska with just a long sleeve under. I could not believe how warm I stayed especially with it being loose. This is going to be a must have in my hunting pack for cold weather- it’s lightweight and incredibly warm! I have multiple down jackets and this is my warmest by far.

It is an great warm

It is an great warm jacket and has nice big inside storage pockets but I wish the pockets had a zipper out that sticky thing cause even if the pockets are deep my phone still fell out Also I wear my jacket almost every day and am an active guy at elbows where I bend my arms it feels like it already is getting thin I am an active guy even due to my arthritis so I won’t be in so much pain just sitting around cause of my arthritis May you all have a safe warm winter

Extremely warm little noisy for bow hunting but in the backcountry its very light and size was perfect I have a large and it fits over all my layers like the camp pattern waiting to get pants to complete my layering system. The light weight of this jacket is a no brainer when hiking in for miles.

Finally all boxes checked. Been trying a long time to find a down jacket that does it all. Super light weight and packable for the backcountry. Super warm like your favorite sleeping bag.

Love this jacket, packs down small for it's fill rating and is incredibly warm. Throw it on for late season glassing or on windy knobs and you will be glad you bought it.

Jacket is nice warm and super packable. Zipper was jammed out of the box, was able to eventually get it undone without mangling it, but hope it lasts.

I ordered a large and the jacket was great. I sent it back as It was a bit to big so I think a medium might be a better fit for me like my jetstream

Warm, Lightweight and Packable

Crazy warm for how light it is. Haven’t been able to test it in anything too extreme yet, but I wore the jacket and pants (with lightweight hoody, ambient jacket and timberline pants) for a few hours while glassing for elk in CO, and stayed warm with temps in the 20s. Jacket and pants pack down to a little larger than a Nalgene. Also, sleeping in them allowed me to be (almost too) warm and cozy with only a 20F bag and a flimsy sleeping pad.

Insane at how warm this jacket is.

Insane at how warm this jacket is. I've been exposed to near -30 F temps in it. When I want to stay warm, I wear this while Ice Fishing. If you are looking for a hunting jacket, in tight brush I'm not sure how this jacket would fair for durability, but so far I have yet to tear mine. I just wish Sitka would make the hood removable. As far as size wize. I am 6'4 and 200 lbs. Jacket fits me well.

incredibly light, packable, and warm.

For starters, this thing is extremely lightweight and comfortable. I've only used it in the low 40's so far (sitting static) but with just a t-shirt underneath I was quite toasty and would regularly unzip to vent. I can't fund anything about the waterproofness of it, but ran the sleeve under the faucet for 30 sec or so and it all rolled off without absorbing anything. As far as size goes, it fits true to size.... however, it is not designed to be snug. I typically wear a Large-Long or XL due to the length of my arms (6'5") and wearing a size XL this fits comfortably over a light jacket and bino harness. I ordered a 3L stuff sack to stuff this guy into and it fits perfect and snug, about the size of a nalgene water bottle.

Great jacket, just runs too big. I previously Had the Kelvin light down in large and it was too snug so I purchased the hyper in xl. Will send back for smaller size.

Cold killer

Great down puffy. Very warm and oversized to lay over layers. Could be improved if it came with a stuff sack, I used a separate one and it works great for packing it down. Also, arm sizing is short. I am 6’3 with decently long arms and this guy is a bit short, but still good. Finally- the hood needs work. No peripheral vision when wearing it, and cinch’s like Kenny from South Park.
