Best pants ever!!

Bought these in the green solid color for September elk hunting. These are my new favorites! Like them even better than the apex pants. They are extremely quiet and very comfortable!! True to size! I’ll be buying the Subalpine color next! Really like the side zips, you can get rid of heat fast!! Been wearing Sitka for years and these are the best so far in my opinion!!

Early season features

These pants are perfect for early season archery hunts when the new vents excel at dumping heat. Also prefer the materials used in these pants which are quiet, durable, and improve camo effectiveness. I found these pants to be slightly more restrictive than Sitka Mountain pants in the same size.

Probably my new favorite pant

Probably my new favorite pant from Sitka. Exceptional breathability and good fit. Have any worn on a few hunts but absolutely love them. Why didn’t Sitka do leg vents like this until now on their big game line!?!? Game changer for early archery hunts.

Great Pant

I’m 5’-8” and about 190-195lbs. Size 34 regular fits well other than the length. I have to hem all Sitka pants to a slightly shorter inseam. I used this pant all fall from sunny days to snow storms with varying layer systems. No complaints at all. The side zips are long overdue and are a game changer to do heat.

Saddle hunters dream

These pants fit perfectly and were my work around instead of wearing knee pads while in my saddle and let me tell you…..game changer!!! They are relatively thin pants but with layers I had no problems hunting in the low 30s, however on the colder days I used them as a layer under my stratus set and was comfy all day they knees have not shown any wear despite being used on rough bark probably more then they are meant for I recommend the intercept pant to anyone who asks

Great pants.

Bow hunted in October and November. Temperatures were 40’s-70’s. Pant performed as advertised. Wore a lightweight long underwear on coldest of mornings. Tiny snags walking through brush but they resisted big rips. The knee pad pockets got hung on my foot several times while putting them on making a ripping noise but I didn’t find damage. A large over flap over the opening might help prevent that.

Great Pant

Loved these pants for my late season rifle elk hunt. With a mid to light base layer they performed great hiking 4-7 miles a day in temps ranging from 5 to 35 degrees. Love the vents while hiking.

Great Pant

These pants are comfortable, VERY quiet and I love the long vent on each side to dump heat. The cargo pockets aren’t super big but hold my phone or a pair of gloves. Snaps are super quiet too. Good stalking pant or in my case deer hunting pant. I can layer underneath them too. Highly recommend!

Intercept Pants

I bought these pants to use on a spot & stalk mule deer hunt in the Dakotas. I had used a similar pair of pants from a different hunting apparel company. They also had a reinforced knee, knee pads, and hip vents. The pants were comfortable and fit well. However, while they did several things pretty well, they weren't great at anything. The side zipper always wanted to unzip completely, the pockets were too small and not in great locations, and the reinforced knee did little to protect my knees when crawling around. The pants from the other company did better at protecting my knees, held up better, and the pockets were significantly easier to access.

Amazing Pants

Used during this years archery season and even used during rifle season as it was very mild weather this year. They worked exceptionally well to dump heat when needed and were relatively durable. The knee pads were great to have. Would no doubt purchase these again.

Incredible pants

I own 5 different models of pants from sitka and these are THEE BEST pants they have made bar none. comfortable fit and feel, zip vents do not intrude on you at all, warm enough for cool mornings but decent breathability when the temps rise. the cargo pockets are a great addition over previous pant models too. they knocked it out of the park with these pants

Big Improvement Over the Apex Pants

I've been hunting primarily in the Apex pants for the past 2-3 seasons and loved them. When the Intercept came out this year, I was seriously interested, primarily because of the hip vents. I wore them for archery and rifle season (still) this year and the Intercept is a big improvement! The hip vents really dump heat when packing, I just wish they had some sort of mesh behind them to keep bugs out. The D3O knee pads are a huge improvement over the old foam ones. They're softer and less obtrusive yet they provide more protection. (My motorcycle gear has D3O in it too). They're very comfortable and quiet too. I've worn them from 26° (with a base layer under) up to 73° and have been comfortable at all times. I'm 6'3" and 250 and the size 40 fit me perfectly. All of my Sitka pants are 40's so these are sized the same.

Incredible pants!

I wore these pants almost everyday in archery season, not a single complaint and held up great. 5 days in a row (no stink) they didn’t get a break. I’ve wore them into the later season now, on my active days I just put merino Baselayer under, and they are still working out great. I’m at 6’4, normally wear a 36/38 inseam and super pumped because they are long enough. They are super comfortable, and I find myself wearing them around the house occasionally…. Great pants !

So close.....

After 10 days of archery elk hunting this is my experience. Let me start with the material. I really like the upgrade. Slightly heavier than the ambient and definitely more durable and slightly warmer. Over all it is a great pant and the rest is me being picky but not sure if I'd buy another pair. The vents are good but could be great. If they put a little mesh to prevent debris from getting in. I had to keep stopping to empty the bottom of my pants in the timber when it was hot and I had them open. The other thing is I am not a fan of the new knee pads. They are more streamline than the old ambient pants. For me they didn't feel as thick and comfortable as the old pads and the taper didn't fit my knees I guess. A majority of the time when I knelt I didn't always catch a big enough part of the knee pad. One could say I had wrong length pant but wearing a tall the regular would have been worse. Don't get me wrong I did like the pant but for me I may go back to my ambient or something else.

Saddle Hunting

Have been using these strictly for saddle hunting. Temps anywhere from 75 to 95. Side vents a plus. Very quiet. I bought these hoping the internal knee pads would allow me to leave my over-the-pant knee pads behind. The internal pads work great. So far, 7 sits on both smooth barked and rough barked trees. Fabric around the knees show no wear. My large cell phone easily slides in the internal side pocket.

Best pants ever

I own almost every hunting pant Sitka makes and this by far the best yet!! Super quiet and really like the side vents. It gets hot here in Wyoming on September elk hunts and this really fit the bill! I really like the lichen green color and gonna buy the Subalpine also. Couldn’t be more satisfied!!!

Perfect archery pants

These pants are perfect for warmer season august and September archery. They are dead silent. They breathe. They can vent when you’re hot. They got knee pads for crawling. Super durable. By far my new favorite archery pants. They will be the only ones I wear. I think they fit slightly big. If I measure my waist with a tape measurer it’s just about 37.5 inches and the 36T are actually a little roomy. They do have some stretch to them.

Vents and new knee pads are clutch

Just got back from a fly-in hunt in the Richardson mountains and wore these chasing Dall’s sheep and mountain caribou for a week and a half. They held up super well. Plenty durable for even the most remote and rugged hunts. Fit is true. Vents and new knee pads are clutch, I do wish all Sitka pants had this side vent. Didn’t feel wind passing through them until it hit about 35-40 mph. Worked well on a spot and stalk in the alpine tundra. Loved the solid colour option.
