Much, much too noisy of a jacket for hunting

Great jacket

Great jacket. I hunt and hike a lot in very windy areas. This jacket is definitely windproof, and has enough ventilation & breathability that I don't get too sweaty when hiking hard. The jacket is big enough where I can easily layer underneath it.

Does a fantastic job with

Does a fantastic job with windstop. I feel like this jacket fits true to size and allows for a kelvin jacket under but not much more without compressing the loft. Little noise to start, hoping after a season of use the noise will quite down. More noise than a stratus, less than a kelvin. Overall, it’s a very important piece in my lineup.

Jetstream jacket

I do like the jacket but my issue is with the logistics. Although I saw the price on the Canadian website; prices were in US currency which added 40% to the cost. The additional cost to cross into Canada added a further $100. So in the end my price nearly double. I realize the cost to enter Canada has nothing to do with Sitka but it would have been more transparent for the site to indicate US currency. A short note is all that is required. Jacket itself is top notch.

Great jacket. Very comfortable and functional. Easy to layer underneath. Thought it was going to be a little warmer by itself.

Have this jacket in a couple of color variants. But I was using the blaze orange to pheasant hunt and I can’t get the cockleburs out. I can get the “ball” part off the jacket but the small needle like won’t easily come out of the jacket.

Great Jacket! Works well as an outer shell for cold season hunting.

I wore this jacket as an outer layer on a late season elk hunt in Colorado. I was looking for something windproof and water resistant and this jacket is excellent! Stopped the windchill in the morning and the pit vents were great in the warmer afternoons during hikes. For reference, I'm 5'11" and 200lbs. I tried both L and XL. L would have fit perfect for everyday wear, but I sized up to XL to leave room for layers, which worked perfect. Highly recommend!

The update Jetstream jacket is great. It does a good job breaking down the wind you feel and also sheds water in light rain situations. Versatile jacket I would buy again.

This is my second Jetstream. The first camo one I bought for hunting works so great , I bought the second one in a solid as my everyday jacket for in town!

Awesome Jacket

My new go to piece for mid to late season upland hunts. Great protection from the wind and breathes extremely well. I purchased the blaze orange jacket and there is plenty of freedom of movement when swinging a shotgun. Not bulky under a strap vest either. Well constructed and situated hood that doesn’t bunch or get in the way. Really happy with it.

Protects against wind well, major downside is the shell will get cold and will the cause arms and inside of jacket to get cold

Amazing new updates to the

Amazing new updates to the jacketas a sheep guide in the Yukon it fits my kit. inner lining is comfortable, the shell is great the windproofing makes a huge difference, while louder than jet streams in the past, it feels of tougher material to keep a guy in the elements longer.

Love the quality and comfort this jacket provides. Paired with a base and mid layer it was perfect for sitting through early morning Rocky Mountain deer hunts around 25°

Everything is great except the most important part, the zipper

Unfortunately I took it out for the very first time and the second day the zipper snagged on my bino harness and tore a few teeth out. It made zipping it up past a point a huge ordeal that involved taking my harness off so I could properly align it. But everything else about it is as good as advertised.

Built well but useless

I thought I would upgrade with the Sitka jet stream jacket but going back to the fleet farm special. The jet stream is built well but useless for windy, cold (even slightly cold) weather. In Wisconsin I can use this jacket maybe a week during hunting season. But hey it looks good.

Wore this on a 7

Wore this on a 7 day moose hunt, great wind protection and good for light rain. It's not the warmest, but if you wear an underlayer it's perfect. Wish I got it in large instead of medium, I thought it would be bulky so I got a size under.

Great jacket if you stay out of the rain. . . Left arm stayed dry but the right arm at the elbow allowed a significant amount of water through the seams. . . Might have got a lemon but I cannot confidently use this in any kind of moisture moving forward

Like the other 20 some pieces of Sitka gear that I currently own this one looks and feels like Sitka quality. Love this tough durable brand and their no questions asked warranty!

Ridiculously Noisy

I wanted to like this jacket so much. I’ve owned every version of the Jetstream Sitka has come out with and they always perform so well. But this iteration is a major step backward from a hunting standpoint. The size and fit was great. They also brought back the double chest pockets which is a win. The zippers are the best zipper on any Jetstream jacket thus far. And the zipper pulls on this version are a nice touch as well. The issue is the noise. This is hands down the noisy jacket I’ve ever purchased. I knew the minute I put it on that I was going to have to return it. The crinkly sounds from the jacket’s new reinforced sections are so loud that it can only be described as opening up a big bag of chips every time you move your arms. Even my wife who is not a hunter said that she could hear me moving from across the house. There’s no way I could ever hunt in this jacket which is a shame because everything else about it is so good. I am shocked they would release a hunting jacket that’s this noisy. A swing and a miss in this one.

The jacket fits nice, but is very crinkly and noisy when you move. Not ideal for bow hunters.

Love the new mods to the jet stream. Seems to be bigger than prior jet streams though.

Sizing has changed, but the jacket has been bulletproofed

The new design of the Jetstream features stretchy cuffs and an improved, durable shell across the chest and arms. My last one was a little snug, so I ordered a size up - I had to exchange it because they improved the fitment of the Jetstream as well. The new version is much more durable and perfect for layering. They’ve taken a premium jacket and developed it into its ultimate form.

Great durable jacket that keeps

Great durable jacket that keeps the wind off. I wish it was a little thinner and more flexible(somewhere between this and the LT version. ) but perfect other than that.

warranty repair

I sent my favorite jetstream jacket to repair zipper, my jacket was old, discontinued model , Sitka sent me a new jacket under warranty their response was amazing, no questions asked , return was quick my package arrived just in time for my first hunt of year, was amazing a new jacket instead my old one , this why I wear SITKA clothing , great product and warranty thank you SITKA team
