Excellent Vest

This vest is great looking, I ordered a large (my normal size) and found the armpit to be very tight. I exchanged it for an XL and the fit is much better in the pits but it's not as form fitting as the large was. Still recommend as it is a great looking and warm vest.

Great Core warmth, but needs a tweak

I wore this just about every day out in Vermont, Maine, and Massachusetts deer season. Temps ranged from 40s to teens. I wore it over a (sorry, Sitka!) FirstLite Furnace baselayer. For warmer temps I was using a Sitka Thunderhead jacket. On colder days or for morning/afternoon sits I was using a Nomad Whitetail Scrape jacket (again, sorry Sitka; I haven't upgraded my warm gear yet). I never felt cold with this setup. On my legs I had the FL Furnace base layer and Traverse bibs. I am 5'-10" and 230 pounds with about a 46 inch chest. The XL fits great overall except (as another reviewer noted) the arms. There were times when I could feel the arms of the vest digging into my underarms. I would need to adjust or feared it cutting off some circulation. For lighter baselayers it likely wouldn't be a problem. Despite this, I wore it on just about every day out. I recommend it unless you have chubbier arms. Mine are a bit chubby, but a larger person could find it very annoying.

I've been please with the Kelvin vest, it's incredibly light yet very warm. I purchased the jacket because I was so pleased with the vest.

Replaced Fahrenheit Vest

I owned a Fahrenheit Vest previously but I needed to replace it after some thieves got into my truck while parked at a boat launch. It's not as 'puffy' as the old version but it's just as warm. Fit is also a little looser which is nice when you're adding extra base layers. Just recently wore it over a merino base layer and under a Dakota Hoodie on a 25* day with high winds and sleet and stayed comfortable all morning. I'm 6'5" - 215 with 44" chest and went with an XL.

Great Vest

I get hot, This lets me be a little cold in the AM and not take it off until the warmest part of the day. Always impressed.

Cozy warm

The Kelvin Aerolite Vest is a multi-use piece that I rarely leave at home when the mercury drops. Perfect for layering in any outdoor-related activity and keeps me cozy and warm at the office when the boss is using the thermostat to pinch pennies. Medium is a perfect fit.

Unbelievably Warm!

Sitka did it again with this vest! It's hard to believe a vest this light weight and packable can keep you so warm but it does! This vest under the Jet stream jacket has kept me warm in extremely cold and windy weather. This vest is worth the investment!

I have barely taken this

I have barely taken this vest off since it arrived a month ago. It’s lightweight, extremely well fitted (and I’m a stalky roundish fella), and it’s insanely packable. You can was it up and stuff it in your hip pocket. This vest has turned my entire attention toward Sitka.

This is my second Kelvin’s vest, sadly after 13 years I finally wore the first one out!! Zipper. So I contacted Sitka to see if they could repair the zipper, they did one better, they sent me a new vest at no charge.You get what you pay for.Thanks Sitka for being you. Amazing customer service.

Usually this type of material is very crunchy and loud but is surprisingly quiet. keeps the wind off great and traps heat very well
