Not warmer than the Traverse gloves.
I have been wearing my traverse gloves for about 10 years on duty and while hunting. I saw these gloves had a four out of four rating vs two out of four for the traverse. I wore the plowing snow today and they are not as warm as the traverse gloves, plus they cost twice as much. Also, they run smaller than all my other Sitka gloves. Not happy!

Merino 330 Glove
In cold winter conditions for Montana, when your body temperature is up, the size large gloves are great for hunting (I even use them for trail running). Super nice in the fall for cold mornings. The older merino gloves in this class had better rubber palm grips for bow or rifle hold in my opinion. Other than that, still love them as a light weight glove. Nice work Sitka!

Over Rated Glove
Sitka list these gloves as a 5 star for warmth. I totally disagree with this. I used these gloves in temperatures in the low 30 degrees (F). My hands were cold. Thank goodness I had “hot hands” that I could use inside the jacket. I’m going to look at their other gloves for cold weather.

Sizing runs small - Good glove to take the bite of the cold off your hands
I wore these during 2nd Rifle and 3rd Rifle in Colorado with temps ranging from 19 F to 45 F. Pros: Good at wicking moisture; not only sweat but also in heavy snow they got damp but not saturated and dried quickly. My hands did not get cold because of the moisture. Light glove to take the harshness of the cold or wind off the bare skin. Also worked well as a glove liner in my mittens. Cons: I have big hands and usually wear a size XL (my mittens are size XXL to accomodate liners or hand warmers), these run small in size and I really notice it at the seam on the palm that connects the thumb. Definitely size up!

Adequate For Cool Weather
Wore these on First Rifle Elk in Colorado and the morning temperatures were in the high 20's to low 30's. These gloves kept my hands warm but I would say they were at their limit. They are better than the Sitka gloves they replaced but I will use them for a liner with the GTX gloves I plan to use for next year's late November elk hunt. I am 6'2" tall and found the large size fit my hands fine. I was hoping that these gloves would work for lower temps but they are adequate for 32 degrees and not much lower.

Seems like a great glove. I don’t have big hands and usually in a Md or Lg. Got a Lg in these and the webbing a good half inch up my fingers.

Arctic Impression
I wore these gloves on an arctic caribou hunt. It was 36 degrees F out, with 30+ MPH winds. I was driving a jet inflatable boat up and down a river. I tried using neoprene gloves, and a pair of my bigger gloves but my hands got cold. I was using these as an insulation layer until they got wet. Instead of putting back on big gloves, I figured I would tough it out in just these. I can’t express enough how surprised and pleased I was with the level of warmth while wet they kept my hands. I will be buying a couple more sets of them!

Runs very small
The gloves feel like a high quality and comfortable glove but they run extremely small. I bought the XL online and they are more like a size medium. There's an inch of webbing between my fingers. If you're 6 ft plus you might as well skip these because even the XL won't fit you unfortunately.

I have several Sitka gear items and this by far is the worst purchase I have ever made. Wore them one time and it does not want to stay on your hand. The finger tip suppose to allow for cell usage, does not work at all. Not warm at all, it is more a liner than a glove. The clear grip is useless. Not happy, can’t return, cut the tags off already.

Great opening day or liner glove.
I usually wear these under my Sitka Windstopper gloves as a liner. In early October i wear them alone. They really soak up perspiration and keep my hands warmer. I have no problems with my bow release using the gloves together. I wear a medium, but my hands aren't very big.

Awesome gloves!
Very nice gloves! Fit and feel is very nice and comfortable. The merino looks like it would last a lot longer than a regular merino wool gloves from another brand that I won’t name. Will buy again in a solid color for every day wear.
