Great jacket!!! One of the best jackets of Sitka I own. I’ve used this piece along with fanatic hoody in temps as low as 25 degrees. I have two different colors in this jacket, and don’t regret the purchase at all.

Very nice jacket. I’m 5’11” and 190lbs. Not overly big but big enough to layer if you need to. Also light enough to be used by itself in early season/turkey season.

Great jacket, wore it in 40-50 temps with light intermittent rain and stayed warm and dry, runs a little tight in the chest for me at 6’1 and 175lb

Quiet outer toasty mid

Happy with the build quality and material. Perfect for 40ish days and evenings with light wind. The lined pockets are nice for when it's just cold enough to make dexterity tough. Reasonable breathability alone and easy to dump as a mid. Material handles heavy brush without issue. It creates little to no noise. Pair with a good shell for wind and water resistance.

Zipper is junk

Jacket is great and i was looking forward using it during hunting season as a mid layer but don't wash it. First wash and the zipper came off in the wash. The teeth just seem to fall off.

Traverse Jacket

Purchased several pieces of Sitka gear for this fall for whitetail hunting and elk hunting. Overall, extremely satisfied. This review is for the Traverse Jacket. The jacket performed very well, warm and quiet! Great for layering under a Stratus jacket. The one thing this jacket needs is the safety harness port like the Stratus and Fanatic have. The one thing I love about all the Sitka I've purchased is the fit, so far I have not found a single piece that is binding in any way, climbing, shooting bow, etc. There are 2 pieces of gear that Sitka really needs: 1) the old Celsius Shacket with WindStopper added 2) A Shacket style in the Fanatic Series (add the half sleeves to the Fanatic Vest) this would be a great piece!

The coat is great. Haven’t worn it hunting but the fit is exact and it’s perfect for cool still mornings.

This is a great jacket that is perfect for the early fall hunts. I wore the jacket with a vest underneath and Fanatic bibs in temps below freezing with no issues. I will be wearing this under a Stratus jacket this year when its windy or below freezing.

Love the pattern, surprisingly kept me warm during the early morning spring Turkey hunts. I’m starting to become a Sitka Junkie.

A very good fleece lined

A very good fleece lined jacket. I wore it under a hard shell jacket, sitting in a blind, for a week, in Northeast Scotland. It kept the warmth in. I wore it to dinner a couple of nights, without the hard shell. 15 knot winds cut through it. It repels water for brief periods of time. It will not keep you dry in rain, or extended periods of heavy mist/fog. The hand pockets and breast pocket are the right size. The thumb hole on each sleeve is a big plus.

Everything great except no cuffing

Everything great except no cuffing at wrist or anyway to make tighter. Making it useless. I’d pay extra for that. Even if it was like the ambient wrists it would be 5 out of 5.

Excellent jacket. Fits very well. great under a coat or by itself if over 30 degrees. Only complaint is that shipping took waaay too long. Almost 2 weeks when I paid for 2 day shipping which tells me it took Sitka several days to even process the order.

I purchased this Jacket years

I purchased this Jacket years ago as my second piece of Sitka gear in the arsenal. I now have a closet full of Sitka gear and other performance hunting gear and this is still a goto foundational piece. Its on nearly every waterfowl hunt, deer hunt, even everyday wear, its comfortable, warm, breathes well, very durable and its thick enough that a sprinkle or light rain doesn't get you wet. If someone told me I had to only keep 2 piece of Sitka Gear this would without a doubt be one of them (the other is the boreal aerolite jacket... they should have some type of textile awards for that thing its incredible). I can see someone using this for Big Game hunting too but I'm a ultralight backcountry guy and this is a little heavy for my liking .... I have the Kelvin Aerolite Jacket for that application.

Wanted a jacket that would

Wanted a jacket that would work for multiple hunting applications and Sitka hit the mark with this one. I have had mine for over a year now and it has held up to the deer woods, river and swamp for ducks and even use as standard coat for everyday life. Keeps the wind and light rain off you and i find it suitable for temps into the 40's with just a tee underneath. Lower than that i use a mid-weight base layer and have been very comfortable. Mobility is key for me, and this jacket allows paddling of a kayak and swing shooting birds on the fly without binding. True to size, i feel, with enough room for a good layer if needed and not too loose either. One of the first items I got from Sitka, and it's made me a believer in the brand. You get what you pay for!!

I am a loyal user of sika hunting gear , I have purchased many sets of whitetail gear . And waterfowl. I have never purchased the day to day gear from Sitka. Made my first purchase a month ago with this jacket , I asked my self why did the light bulb not click sooner . Really wanted to love this

Really wanted to love this jacket. Materials and build seem great, and definitely warm. Unfortunately the large was huge on me. The medium fit great, except very tight in the underarms to the point of chaffing just testing it out around the house. Would love if Sitka offered it in Tall sizes to fix this issue.
