Pretty nice jacket, overall recommend
Pros: cute, very soft, wind proof, water resistant if lightly raining, warm hood. Cons: bigger than expected, got a S based on reviews, I’m 130lb and 5’4”. Because there’s a lot of space/air between the jacket and the shirt/underlayer, it’s not as warm as I would like. I’d would say it’s comfortable around 50deg with a long sleeve shirt underneath. With long sleeve merino wool underneath, it’s good around 40-45deg. I’m aware warmth was not the priority in this jacket though. The slightly larger size does allow for movement and layering though, which is nice. The cut around the hips is nice as well, high enough to allow for large hips & movement.

Great jacket
I got this jacket in a large because I wanted to have room for a downy layer underneath. It fits well, a little on the snug side with the downy layer under it, but still able move well and very warm!

This jacket, without the hood, was the first piece of Sitka gear my boyfriend purchased for me over 5 years ago. I use it as a layering jacket and it is perfect to wear on its own or for layering. The cut and way I can move in the Sitka gear is second to none.

The material is fantastic. Unfortunately for me that’s all I can say that’s good about it. Although it’s supposed to stop the wind the sleeve openings are so big the wind blows right up them. Additionally if you’re wanting a warm jacket this is not it. I was in 35 degree weather with layering and was cold. Extremely disappointed after hearing such great things about Sitka!

Absolutely love this jacket! I got the laurel and pictures do not do it justice!! The feel interior/exterior is great. As well, it performs just like it states. Hood is great when it rains. Only thing I would upgrade would be the sleeves. Mine are a little long so I fold them but wish they were elastic so they’d stay at my wrist or at least have a small strap to tighten!

Ordered the same size in this jacket as I have in their other gear. Expected it to fit just as well - with room to move and hunt. But like others have said, it is too tight in the shoulders. Way to wide in at the base. Pockets are misaligned. Does not live up to the layering system either. Quality is ok, but design is suboptimal. Not what I would expect from Sitka.

I bought this jacket for my wife as a layering piece. When the jacket first came in you could tell it has the quality that sitka is known for. The feel of the material and the design is definitely top notch, my wife loves this coat. The reason I didn't give it a 5 star is due to its sizing. My wife is a size small. The jacket fit her with a base layer on perfectly however when she tried the jacket on over her base layer and the new sitka ambient jacket in a size small was tight especially in the shoulders. We were definitely disappointed on the sizing of the jetstream.

I needed a warm outer
I needed a warm outer layer for early season Alberta hunts. I bought my husband this same jacket a couple years ago and he raves about it. I was thrilled when Sitka came out with a version for women. The wind stopping technology is amazing. I love this jacket! And I love the fit! I am small but bought a medium as I know as the season progresses I’ll need to layer more. This jacket fits perfectly for that and I couldn’t be warmer, more comfortable or happy!!

I would give this jacket
I would give this jacket 5 stars if the redesign had included longer sleeve lengths. My arms are really not that ridiculously long, but the sleeves are still too short, so I won’t be buying it. I love the men’s version - it is great for arm length, although it really doesn’t fit my body properly in other areas.
