Core Merino 330 Bottom

I have yet to wear the 330 core bottoms but they feel of great quality and craftsmanship. I think that the idea that you can remove them with their side zippers without totally undressing/ removing your boots is simply brilliant ! I just hope that the zippers hold up! A great piece of kit; especially for those that will be on the move as the day warms up.

Honest Review

Purchased these for my first Mulie & Elk hunts in Colorado. These were fantastic. For the Mulie hunt, we had temps around 32° F in the morning and about 55°F in the afternoon. These kept me warm in the morning and comfortable in the afternoon. Also kept the smell to a minimum. 10/10.

These are very comfortable but not as warm as I had hoped for a heavy weight. My heavy weight Icebreaker’s are far warmer.

This base layer is the perfect choice for when the temperature begins to drop. Midseason if you want to retain your body heat without sacrificing mobility this is the perfect choice. Worth every penny!

These are a great addition to help avoid feeling like the marshmallow man while extremely layered. This base layer is significantly warmer than my previous fleece version. They are a bit loose around my calves which is the only negative I can speak to.

For all the hype after this came out, I’ll say I was quite a bit underwhelmed after finally seeing them, especially for the price. I was expecting to get something on par with First Lite’s Furnace heavyweight bottoms, but these 330’s feel barely like their mid-weight bottoms. I guess we’ll see how they perform when it gets cold. I will say however that Sitka base layer bottoms in general fit FAR better than First Lite’s, I just wish they were as heavyweight.

Just the right size. Everyone says Sitka runs small. This stuff fits perfectly. XL was great for 6’3 and 230lb. I’ve got long legs and didn’t want high waters and they’re perfect

We all know Merino is king for base layers, and this 330 is so good for the late and midseason baselayer.

The perfect layer for a late season sit! It’s 100 degrees in Arkansas so I haven’t had a chance to actually use it but they are super comfortable and warm! I expect nothing less from Sitka!
