Hoody and Facemask Too Loose

Was excited to see a merino wool hoody that functions like the lightweight hoody but it fell short in performance. The facemask does not stay up and constantly falls down as it’s not tight fitting like the lightweight hoody. I had to have my wife stitch it tighter and for the price of the garment I shouldn’t have to do this.

Can’t Live With Out It

Best piece of base layer gear I own. 330 Merino is no joke. Kept me warm in the Wisconsin late season and the fit is perfect. Didn’t think I’d use the hood and mask but it’s money when the wind starts howling.

Absolutely love the warmth and comfort of the Core 330 hoody. Only issue for me was the built in face mask did not stay up in place when the hood was up. If I let the hood down the face mask had enough stretch to stay put. As soon as I put the hood up, the elastic of the mask became too loose and it dropped.

Bought this for late season

Bought this for late season Minnesota deer hunting. This thing is a game changer!! Love it. I should have bought it sooner. Great product very warm layer .

Great Multispecies Item

No matter what species you are going after this is a fantastic item to have in your bag of tricks regarding how to dress for the weather. No doubt about it 99.9% of folks will compare this wool piece to a competitor. I can assure you that this hoody will git the need for you to control body temperature and odor. The quality is second to none and I have found myself utilizing it for deer, turkey, predator, and waterfowl hunting.

Core Merino 330 hoody

I purchased the Core Merino 330 hoody on 11-7-23. I was wanted the Fanatic hoody but thought something heavier would be better fo my November hunt in Missouri. I purchased an XL (6’, 225lbs) to wear over first layer. The quality is excellent. I tried it over a layer to see how it would fit and it wasn’t tight n comfortable, warm, hood fit nicely, the thumb holes nice feature to keep partially hands warm n being a bow hunter I usually don’t wear a glove on my release hand. I do like the hand pockets. I am warm blooded and feel the 330 weight over a wool layer could keep me warm to the 40’s without adding a jacket. It’s hard to find a mid weight jacket that isn’t bulky, and if I can add a layer and stay warm in a tree stand with less bulk to wear it’s a success.

Exquisite Hoodie...Warm Gears

I have worn this hoodie out in multiple adversarial environments, blowing winds...hard rains...the works. It kept me warm and dry and allowed me to make the tough shots I needed to make to get the Job done. Wear it as a casual hoodie out in public or underneath your ambient jacket like I do to experience true comfort at a great price. I am a full Sitka fan and will continue to make purchases when I need fabulous wears at conscious prices to hunt any game or look fashionable in public...I am 6 ft. tall, 210lbs, athletic build: I wear a size Large and it fits true to size and conservatively shows off the gains made in the gymnasium. Merino 330 Hoody

Love merino wool. Really like this hoody for the most part. Only thing the mask is very very loose and will not stay in place on face, un-like the Fanatic counterpart which does a great job. Don't know if it the material or if it's the way it was sewn in the first place (too much material).

Great new addition

Very excited about all the new Core Merino products. This one is a perfect layering piece under a Duck Oven and Delta Wading Jacket. Thicker material than I expected and very warm. Love it!

The king of baselayers

The moment you pick this thing up you know it's something special. It's incredibly dense and feels heavy. Imagine picking up a t-shirt and realizing it weighs as much as a sweatshirt, that's what the 330 hoodie is like. It's incredibly thin for the amount of warmth you get, its also very soft and comfortable to wear. I love my fanatic hoodie, but when the temperature gets near freezing the thin mesh face mask starts to wet out from the condensation of my breath. The hood and mask on the 330 are made of merino and a bit thicker, I no longer have to worry about my mask wetting out. This piece is so versatile I might have to buy another for everyday wear. I wear a lightweight LS underneath, but its soft enough to wear next to skin if you want. I'm 5'10 225lbs and the large fits great. Another inch or so in the torso would make the fit perfect. Warmth compared to fanatic hoody

Some what disappointed. Looking for a base layer with at least comparable warmth to the fanatic hood y with better wicking ability. It is not as warm

On The Fence

First - I own roughly 20 pieces of Sitka gear in performance and standard fit. I’m 5’10 225 pounds with a 36 waste. The feel and weight are spot on, but this is not a standard fit. I measured in the width with other standard fit garments and it is 1 inch on each side different. Also, it’s somewhat short. Im likely returning figuring i am between sizes because I don’t need a 37 inch sleeve in 2XL.

330 Merino Hoody is where it’s at!

Hats off to Sitka on this piece! I always loved my fanatic hoody with the think mask built in but the 330 will get a lot more action on cold days in the field. I’ve bought a lot of Sitka gear and normally don’t take time to review but had to provide one on this hoody. Feels a little heavy but there is zero bulk and the inside of this hoody feels like silk!! I’m 6’, 215 and the large fits great (not loose/not tight).

Haven’t got to test it in the cold. Super comfortable and fits great. I love it already, like the rest of my Sitka gear!

Legitimate

Just got this in mail this weekend and I must say this piece is legitimately one of my favorites already. You can tell it’s going to be warm from the weight. Fits perfectly and feels awesome. I think the fanatic hoodie just went on the bench.
