Quality Mid Layer or Outer

Really like this hoody. Works great as a mid layer with Gradient Jacket on colder mornings and the days when it warms up in the afternoon it works well as an outer layer under my waders. Seems pretty durable as base layers go as well.

This is warm and looks great. It is very comfortable when it’s below 32 degrees I wear as a mid layer .

I wanted to add something to my cold weather gear. So I decided to go with the core merino 330 hoody. I’m glad I did. I love it. Fits great and is very warm.

Game changer, best piece of hunting clothing I’ve ever owned. Great for early season hunts on its own. And a must have as a base layer for late season.

Perfect

6’ 220lbs XL fits perfectly. I wouldn’t change a thing. Very comfortable inside and the outside seems tough. I’ve been through the brush without snags or tears.

Merino hoody

Perfect. Warm hoody with face mask and thumb holes. Wool being resistant to odor is key for shower free hunt camp weekends.

Very warm and the merino wool holds to the minimal body odor after wearing it for a few days of hard hunting. I recommend for those cold days.

Great Hoody

I purchased the Core Merino Hoody this year and used it a lot. I've owned the Fanatic hoody for a few years now and it didn't get used at all this season. For me, when compared to the Fanatic hoody, the merino 330 hoody feels more comfortable, I do prefer the face mask in the Fanatic over the 330, as the 330 face mask slowly slips down my face. Still a great piece.

Great mid layer

Paired with the long sleeve Merino crew, I could wear this all season long. From mid October to under the duck oven in January. Perfect for layering in windy and cold waterfowl conditions.

Very Warn!

I wanted something for colder weather that wicked sweat better than my Fanatic hoodie. I ride a bike to my tree stand and when I have to bulk up more for colder weather I can overheat very quickly but then get very cold in the stand. This hoodie is warmer than the fanatic and seems to wick sweat better too. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others.

Hi guys, I’m new to the sitka family. I purchased the core Marino wool 330 hoodie I have to say it was very warm comfortable the size was made to fit. I ended up buying the whole collection.

Purchased the 330 base layer tops and bottoms in both ladies and men’s. They are worth every penny. Super cozy and perfect for cold weather hunting. We both love them!!

Merino Core Hoody

I’m a big fan of this hoody. I’ve always loved merino, this thing is silky smooth on the inside, and doesn’t itch or irritate. Perfect for the next to skin layer it’s supposed to be. The face mask is a nice bonus. With it being merino, it breathes great and doesn’t seem to hold any funk from breathing in it. I’m 5’7” and 175lb I ordered the medium and it fits great!

Great Warm Gear

Ridiculously comfortable, keeps you plenty warm even in windy/cold conditions, and the hood is a great addition, making this my winter base layer choice. very similar to the lighter non-insulated hooded base layer I use for archery season. Kangaroo pockets get toasty as well!

Probably my favorite hoody. Better than the fanatic. The fanatic pilled after one wash and pretty much was ruined.

Wore in Saskatchewan for a 6 day hunt. Sitting for 11 hours a day in temps between 8F and 22F gets cold. But these did their job well.

Really enjoy this hoody! At first it was a bit scratchy on my skin but after a few washes I don’t notice it. Great warmth to weight and the hood fir is very nice. Would definite recommend this for late season hunts.

Large fits perfectly , this jacket is way warmer than my fanatic hoody and has replaced it all season. If you’re looking for a lightweight hoody that works all season this is the one .

Critical Layer

Late Fall to Late Winter must have. This layer is the one that you can wear while walking to where you going to sit for a while before putting on a stratus coat or on those cold mornings and evenings I wear this with the ambient jacket as a second layer which keeps you warm but not sweating and during a sit. Those 2 layers are light, warm, and comfortable. The hood on the Core Merino 330 acts amazing for a small layer under a beanie or as an extra layer on a stratus jacket which cuts the wind like no other.

Best hoodie out there

This thing is amazingly warm and when you’re a dummy and wear too much and start sweating, it keeps you warm when you need it, even while wet.

This hoody is great. It kept me warm on my Kansas hunt under my Stratus jacket.

I love how the piece feels but it also feels cold and didn’t keep me crazy warm for some reason, was wearing it duck hunting in the 20s with a few other layers, but did a great job as a merino base layer on keeping me dry

Great heavier base layer

Really like this new 330 piece and the matching bottom. It is decidedly heavier and warmer than the Core heavyweight. However it is not substantially warmer, specially considering how much more it pricey it is compared to the heavyweight core. The built -in face mask is a good feature and the piece is of typical high Sitka quality. Been using the piece for treestand sits below 32.
