This jacket is very well thought out. I love the face mask built into the hood, and the sleeve material to cover your hands in a pinch. It is true to size and seems to be up to Sitka's high standard. That being said, it is thinner than I anticipated and I am not sure how warm this is going to be on spring mornings in the turkey woods.

I have two and wear them on most whitetail hunts. Have been using for a few years now and always air dry after washing. No shrinkage and no pilling. I seldom use the face mask, but do use the built in gloves. It's long in the back which is perfect as it never comes untucked from my pants. If mine ever wear out I'll be buying more. The fanatic hoodie is the most used Sitka item I own. I'm 6 foot tall and alternate between 195 and 210 pounds and XL is the right size.

I own many Sitka products. The Fanatic Hoody I believe is the best product they make! I wear one everyday. (I own 4). A tee shirt under and the hoodie . A Duck Oven jacket over that all winter long in WI. It is warm, breathes and covers your face, head and fingers when needed. When I get too warm, I unzip it a bit as it covers your neck area very comfortably. The first one I bought is 12 years old now and still in rotation! Does not absorb odor, is versatile and is an absolute necessity. My 12 year old hoodie is the same quality as last years hoodie. Has not changed a bit!! Keep making them Sitka!!

I don't like the forearm seem, it's uncomfortable. The FL Approach Hoodie is superior IMO. I've also never used the gloves although it is a clever option.

I used both the 100 and 300 throughout the last hunting season in various weather scenarios. They are incredibly warm and run a little large (which is perfectbforblayering). Only once (during low single digit temps did I need to wear both. Otherwise, during cool days the 100 was perfect and during light freezing weather, the 300 was excellent. . . both as stand-alone wear. By wearing in this fashion (with a goretex jacket), I had maximum flexibility and didn't overheat - even during high movement periods). I highly recommend the Fanatic Hoodies!
