Solid spring fall Jacket

I decided to try this out as my new spring fall jacket as my old one was holding togeather by threads. Initial impression are very good. Nice canvas like material that feels tuff. Nice liner that isnt cold on the skin when you through it on. The hood had a bill on it that works well with ball caps. The pockets are nice and the rear od the jacket has a nice ducttail to keep your back coveres good. The arms are a good length were they dont pull up past my wrist when streching and the neoprene material inside the sleves will keep the wind out. Looks like I found a nice winner! Should be good for casual wear down to freezing and futher with some layers if your a little warm blooded

Great tough jacket

This is a very well-built jacket. Its windproof and the pockets are large and placed where they are easy to access. I wouldnt use the jacket for shotgunning because the surface finish is not slick and the recoil pad hangs up during the gun mount. Not a problem since this jacket wasnt designed for shotgunning.

Grindstone work Jacket

Bought this jacket when it was on sale. I am 5’ 6” 140lbs, and a size small fits perfect with proper layering underneath. Haven’t worn it in the cold yet but plan on wearing this every day for work next winter.

My favorite camp jacket

This jacket will fight off any kind of weather. Wind stopper and insulation, you couldn’t ask for much more. Big easy to use pockets, nice hood and cuffs for your wrists. Sized for layering and a tough exterior. I want another.

Worth dealing with UPS

Possibly the most solid cold-weather jacket I've ever owned, and competes favourably with more expensive knee-length parka from a certain fox company at double the price. The DWR coating seems decent and the shell isn't too noisy once broken in, while still having zero worries about abrasion.

Easily the best jacket I’ve ever owned. It’s is perfect for the winter and cooler nights. I’ve worn this in torrential rain and was completely dry. Do yourself the favor, if you’re on the fence about it. Fits true to size I wear a medium for just about everything and this fit perfectly. But I am a stockier build.

Good Quality, Sizing is off.

I am a true Sitka Gear fanboy. Honestly, I have had no trouble getting the perfect fit on all their gear. The grindstone line though runs either too big or too small. I first ordered the jacket in XL. The size I wear for everything in Sitka. It was way too tight. So then I returned the jacket it and ordered it in XXL and I am swimming in it. I plan to keep the piece and use it for waterfowl hunts with layers underneath, but the sizing is off just enough to not find the perfect fit for my body.

Love this jacket as a woman

I bought this jacket in a large as I wanted it to fit like a long parka over my overalls and layers. I wear it everyday working with horses and dogs. It’s very warm considering it’s not very thick, the outer material is super durable. I’ve caught it on fencing and wire - never ripped. I hope they continue to make this jacket as I will keep buying it if my others wear out. The only reason for 4 stars is the zipper sometimes has some trouble (comes apart from the bottom).

Bought this jacket to replace an old Carhartt jacket. This thing is amazing! Easily one of my favorites. So warm and light! Became one of my everyday wear jackets.

Robust jacket

I have used this jacket to work outdoors and after season chores. I also used it for skiing for several days and it worked great. The material is very scratch resistant tear resistant and is very durable.

One of the best work jackets I’ve purchased. I work on barges out in the elements and it does a great job of keeping the wind off your body. The insulation is more than enough to keep you warm. Material feels very durable. More than enough pockets. Very happy with my purchase.

Love this coat

Very happy to report that this jacket is suitable for northern winters. The primary zip large and sturdy. Appreciate the chest pocket closures, hood cut, inside pocket and back pocket. The waist pockets were not as deep as I expected but it's nbd. The fit is very good and comfortable. Tough on the outside, soft and warm on the inside.

Jacket is very warm. Seems to be very durable and the water resistance is what you’d expect it to be. Only reason for 4 stars vs 5 is the sleeve length seems excessively long compared to the numerous other products I own from Sitka.

Perfect!

I’m 5’5” and 135lbs. I ordered a Men’s Medium for layering purposes. I typically buy all of my hunting gear in Men’s Medium as well. It was a little big for me, but I figured I would wear a sweatshirt underneath. Super Warm. Super Durable!
