Perfect work jacket

This is the work jacket I’ve been waiting for. Great fit, very warm and feels like it’s going to last a long time. Will for sure buy another one. Only thing they didn’t get right is the loop to hang it. It’s tiny. Otherwise a perfect jacket.

Great Jacket

I really like this jacket, its outer material is durable and the Primaloft insulation is warm. It blocks wind well and water beads up and rolls off. I got this as a winter jacket to replace my 20 year old Columbia. I would consider it a midweight jacket not heavyweight. For reference I am 6’3”, 215 lbs with an athletic build and the XL fits pretty good. The sleeves are long enough for me but it’s a little big around my mid section. The build quality is excellent as all the stitching is near perfect. I took off a star for 2 reasons, one is the hood is huge and the bill rubs the back of your head so I have to fold it inside itself to help(Maybe Sitka could put a couple magnets in the hood to help out with that and let me test the prototype!). Second is the sewn in hang loop, it is tiny(unusable) and just sewn in the inner insulation and liner material. So you either need a hanger or hang it up by the hood as it will end up ripping the liner. Overall, this is a good jacket that I plan to keep for many years.

Should not have waited so long.

I have been looking at this jacket for months and finally purchased one a month ago. As with all Sitka jackets it is top notch quality and is really comfortable and warm. I haven't been able to put it to the test in really cold weather yet, but I am confident it will be great. It is also so much lighter than my Carhart.

Rugged and well built jacket

My new go to jacket, it's pretty darn warm without a lot of bulk, and the exterior is very tough, you wont snag on any thorns. Fits like a glove, size up if you are doing a lot of layering or going snowboarding etc.

Fit is a little rough

I am 5’8” 190. The large fit well except the arms went all the way to the base of my finger nails. Exchanged for medium and the arms are the perfect length, but I have to take a deep breath to zip it up. Truly amazing jacket. Very warm and it looks great. Alright, I gtg now i have to go hit the gym to help the fit around my core. Challenge accepted Sitka.

Love this jacket cause it’s very durable, lined with primaloft and sheds water! It’s very warm and you won’t be disappointed. Best all around winter jacket to date!

I have had many if not all the big and small brand work jackets. All are built for someone who has a big beer belly. Also are just bulky to try be warmer. This jacket fits well for my 5'8'' 185 pounds fairly fit body type. I was sick of wearing the other work jackets and need to have something underneath to stay warm. We have only had a couple cold days in MN so far in '23 but there has been some with high winds and with just a shirt under I have been warm even bordering to warm. Plus, the overall build quality far surpasses the other work jackets out there. I have wasted a lot of cash on them should have spent the extra on this years ago well worth it. The cuffs on the other jackets are uncomfortable and tight these are snug to keep the wind out but do not feel like they are cutting off blood flow. Also, very soft and comfortable. Only grip is I need a large to fit my chest and shoulders any smaller I would not be able to put my arms forward. But with the large the arms are long they cover past my first knuckle makes me look like a child with Dad's coat on I currently have them tucked in but will get them hemmed at some point. This is nothing to do with quality of the jacket just my weird body type of big chest but short arms. This is my first Sitka purchase, and I can only assume their other gear is built with the same quality I will be getting new gear for whitetail hunting before next season. To make a short story long if you are on the fence for getting this jacket or another popular work jacket get this one you will not regret it.

Everyday Jacket - yes please

I bought this jacket with the hopes it could be an everyday winter jacket, since I don't usually change before chores I wanted something tough as well. Upon deliver I did not think it would be warm enough for North Dakota winters. Since I recently purchased an ambient hoody which hits well above its weight for warmth, I figured I should at least give the jacket a chance. Granted we have had a wet mild winter, but I have been impressed with the warmth and especially with how dry this keeps me in wet weather. The longer tail and cuffs really seal the deal, pun intended, when it gets windy. The oversize hood keeps water off my face even when rain is driving in from all angles. The fit is nice and very light weight for the warmth provided.

FINALLY..A superior jacket that is all it claims to be!! Love that it’s made right here in the U.S.A with an available support team. Although I expect no issues down the road as it’s such high quality. Bravo Sitka!!

Rugged and Tough

This coat is great. Does great a blocking the wind and shedding light rain. Keeps me warm with a flannel under it. Material is tough enough not to worry about trudging through tough brush. No snags or tears even in briars. My go to work coat.

This jacket is the ticket! Awesome fit and function. its warm, blocks the wind. Not prone to stains. I use it on everything from a trip to town to throwing logs in the stove.

Heavy & feels warm

This is a Christmas gift, but I did take it out of the bag to wrap it. The material feels very nice it feels like it has a lot of weight to the coat and Sitka is it brand that he loves and trusts

It’s great. Heavier, durable material, not terribly bulking while being very warm. One of my favorite features is the pocket located in the lower back so you can carry your gloves or hat without adding a bunch of bulk to the front of the coat.

I have the old version, just got this one for my dad. Both awesome products for any range of weather. Hot, cold, windy, wet.

Solid Winter Jacket

So far it's been a great winter jacket. Thing will keep you warm. I'm 5'7 175lbs athletic build and I wear a medium. It fits well everywhere but seems a little snug at the bottom, but it doesn't affect me in any negative way. Hood is plenty big, but if you're not a hood guy it may bother you. Material seems durable, very similar to a cotton canvas but not as thick. Pockets are all done and planned out. well.

This jacket is exactly what I was looking for. I run a horse boarding facility in rural ohio. I am taking care of animals every day regardless of weather. I'm covered in mud, sand, hay, sawdust...etc everyday. It's a piece of Sitka gear I don't mind getting dirty or being tough on. This coat is WARM!. Works great in the rain shedding water. This coat is bulletproof.

I love the jacket, but it runs way too large. I have three other Sitka jackets in Large, and all fit perfectly, but this one in a large feels XXL.

Grindstone - wimpy zipper

Love the jacket except for the mini-zipper. For a “work” jacket it is incredibly light duty. Thank goodness I have been able to self repair when it has come apart from the bottom.

Zipper is lacking

The zipper that runs up the front of this coat is not up to the task. Any sort of squatting down and it separates at the bottom. I would’ve thought something labeled as a “work jacket” would’ve have something more substantial. The only other thing that would make this better is a removable hood, but that’s not a big deal. So far this jacket keeps me extremely warm and is very functional outside of what I’ve already mentioned. I am 5’10” and 200 lbs with an athletic build. I am more of an XL in the shoulders, but a large aside from that. I decided to go with the large and it fits well aside from a bit tight in the shoulders but that was to be expected, so no complaint there.

Great All Around Jacket

This is my favorite everyday jacket. Great for wearing out running errands at home or out working at my hunting lease. Heavy duty water repellent exterior and soft interior. Love the magnetic pockets!!
