I really wanted to like this but

It’s the only Sitka piece I’ve had to return. It’s warm. It’s comfortable. It looks great when worn with my Stratus or Fanatic sets. But it was too dang tight. Yea I’m a bigger guy -18” neck - but other gators have some stretch to them or are sized slightly bigger.

By far the best product

By far the best product you can buy from Sitka if you’re in chilly/windy environment. This will keep you very warm and it doesn’t scratch or itch the neck/face area.

MUST HAVE! Extremely warm and

MUST HAVE! Extremely warm and comfortable. Have used it multiple times when it was -20 out and it keeps the neck warm. Would recommend for the late season but could also be worn mid-season depending on wind.

I finally got to test

I finally got to test this in frigid temperatures, and it really impressed me. I did a 5 hour hunt from the ground sitting the entire time in 13-22 degrees Fahrenheit. It was sub 16 for 3 hours with some wind making it feel like 8 or less. I was totally warm. It’s loose enough that it doesn’t put pressure on your nose, tall enough to cover your eyes and easily bunches around your neck. It feels windproof, but you can breathe in and out through it without difficulty. It is a perfect product. I’ve tried merino balaclavas and thinner merino neck gaiters that don’t gut the wind, are too tight, and allow wind to come up your collar. This thing has no problems. It also fits around the collar of my Jetstream jacket nicely to keep me warm without drafts. Somehow it regulated moisture well. Usually, I snot all over thinner neck gaiters and they get cold. This wasn’t a problem because it actually kept my nose warm. It also seals well just under the eyes, and I pulled it up over the ears of my Stratus Beanie to add warmth. Below 20 I had to put on a second hat as the Stratus was just thin, but the neck gaiter really helped extend the stratus’ cold weather abilities. Best Sitka product. Buy a backup for a friend.

I have a drawer full

I have a drawer full of neck warmers and gaiters. This is by far the warmest & best fitting. Where I hunt isn’t cold very often, but when it is I reach for this piece and it does the job well. My brother had had one for Several years and his is still in great shape after heavy use, so I’m not at all worried about durability. Good job Sitka, you nailed this one!

Absolutely a must have for

Absolutely a must have for cold hunts. This neck gaiter was a game changer for something i didn't know I needed. What a difference it makes paired with a beanie versus a high neck coat with a hood. I much prefer to have my eyes completely unblocked while out in the wild. Super warm and comfortable and cuts the wind out completely. Extends your comfortable hunt time for sure.

Very warm, worth every penny. On the cold rides out to the blind or to the ice house keeps me warm. If you plan on walking around and doing a lot of moving, maybe to hot for you.

This, just like all the Sitka Gear I own, did not let me down. There is no other gator on the market you can even try to compare it to for reference. Warm, durable, dries fairly quick on those heavy precipitation hunts. No brainer, must have in the gear drawer item!

This is by far the warmest neck gaiter on the market. The gaiter is not too bulky but provides great warmth to the neck, face and up to the eyes. I wore this during extreme weather with the temperature -2 to 7 degrees and wind chill -10 to -15. I have the gaiter paired with the Sitka Blizzard Beanie for full winter protection.

It’s an absolute must have to add to your gear during the cold weather. Super warm and comfortable to wear.

If used PURELY as a

If used PURELY as a neck gaiter, this thing works great and is super warm and soft. My frustration is that I like to be able to bring my neck gaiters up over my mouth and nose if it gets cold, but with this (while I CAN get it up over my face) it fits SUPER snug and is difficult to breath through, but not impossible. I will note, I have a big ol' honkin' head, and that probably is the biggest factor in this, but maybe either finding a way to allow a little elasticity and breathability to this would be awesome. Otherwise this an awesome piece. Don't get me wrong, it is still a great piece and I will still be using this on my hunts going forward.

Never saw this as a

Never saw this as a necessary piece of gear but once I bought it I wear it on every hunt! Cuts the wind and makes those cold late season hunts so much warmer! Worth it! Very breathable, soft and warm! No complaints.

Outstanding piece of equipment that absolutely cuts the wind and is soft & warm when wearing in the most demanding temps. I highly believe this piece of equipment should be standard in every serious hunter's equipment list.

This neck gaiter Is a

This neck gaiter Is a little tight but it is amazingly warm. Running a runner boat down behind the blind boat on big open frigid waters at 50 mhp it sure makes a difference wearing this product to other products I have used.

Awesome product! Fits great, warm, silent, easy to pack. I own two and use them when it gets cold and windy, like when it got down to -15 with 12mph wind and they helped to lock in heat and keep the bitter wind off my face and neck!!

You will not regret this

You will not regret this purchase. Here in the southeast we don't often get much below freezing, however, on a resent duck hunting trip to KS it was below zero with the wind chill. I'm not used to that type of weather but this neck gaiter was the perfect piece of equipment to keep the wind a cold off my neck. Highly recommend.

I have four of these,

I have four of these, was hoping for an upgraded effort this last time around. I believe these would be much better it there was an elastic component. It's a one size fits all and they can be very restrictive. The warmth component is great and they're an important part of my gear system but would be much more efficient and comfortable if they had some stretch to them. It would make a big difference on the long sits as well as during a spot and stalk.

I used the neck gator on several occasions in -40 Celsius temperatures while predator hunting, it allowed me to sit still for hours!

I purchased one of these

I purchased one of these for a late season North Dakota field hunt. Laying in the snow covered field with the wind blowing from our back tis kept me both warm and dry. My tried it out. Felt how soft it was on the inside I hade to purchase another one!

Bought this for my wife

Bought this for my wife for Christmas. She is about 5'4' 115 lbs. I think these are one size fits all. It fits her well, she had a chance to use it once or twice because we have had warm weather and it worked great. She already had a few neck protectors, which are thinner, this will be her go to for the colder days. We hike 2+ miles per day with our dogs and out about an hour or so.

Wore this in the deer

Wore this in the deer stand Christmas Eve morning. 8 degree temps with a breeze, never felt the cold air get to my neck, and the gaiter stays dry and warm even when I’m breathing into it. Would buy again and again.

I've bought a lot of

I've bought a lot of different, latest, greatest neck gaiters. For working construction and tree stand hunting in Wisconsin winters. I found them all lacking in one respect, they weren't totally windproof. Warm? yes but the wind is the culprit. This will be my last gaiter I ever buy, as it is perfect for my purposed. I also bought my son one, that way I'll always have mine. Just wish it wouldn't have taken 50 years to find :)

These are great! I have one in Optifade and got another one in black. A must have when in gets into the teens and lower twenties, bow hunting or in the yard.

When the temperature drops and

When the temperature drops and the wind makes it near impossible to endure the elements, these neck gaiters are a must have. I have them in several different patters for my days in the timber waiting patiently for whitetails, and also for those harsh boat rides crossing open water chasing water fowl. Even have a black one for the days of sitting in a popup ground blind. The soft inner fleece keeps my face warm and the windstopper outer layer does the rest. When it’s cold cold, this is must have gear to prolong my time in the harsh temperatures.

Perfect for extreme cold. Wore today while riding shoves on a train with temperatures at 6 degrees and windshield factor of -11 and it kept me warm! Highly recommend! This is worth every penny!

The neck gaiter is super

The neck gaiter is super comfortable. I actually got it to wear while riding my street bike in 25-40 degree F. weather. It definitely does it's job keeping me warm even with the wind chill! Definitely recommend!
