Great jacket; hand warmer fleece lining is very nice; the outer shell seems to be more durable than other similar insulated mid layer jackets; it does fit snug if using sitka’s size guide; it does not leave room for much more than a base layer underneath

I love the throwback to the M65 liner. The combination of the synthetic insulation and wind stopper face fabric is exactly what I was looking for. So many of the mid layers have “delicate” face fabric and snag and tear far too easily. I don’t see that as a problem with this jacket. The hood fits close to the head. I hate all the oversized helmet compatible hoods. I’ve owned all the other outdoor brands mid layer jackets. This is by far the best. And it’s made by an outdoor brand. Not a fashion brand masquerading as an outdoor brand

Fits the way I wanted it to. I learned a long time ago that wind stopper products are a necessity hunting here in Montana. You can reduce insulation weight by using it. The eastern Rocky Mountain front can be unbearable without it. I will let you know how it performs after out rifle season.

Jackets is the absolute best. I live up in the High rockies and this was my legit winter layer. Looks good around town, and functioned great for a winter fishing layer. Super soft pockets, windproof, sheds snow light rain. Throw a hard shell over it and you can go super low temps.

Extremely pleased with this jacket. Very lightweight, warm, and nicely constructed. The handwarmer pockets are very soft and plush. Wind stopper material is no joke either. Only criticism I have: the armpit area on the sleeves feels a little tight, if that area was more relaxed the jacket would be perfect. Medium fits me perfectly, 170 lbs, 5’10”

I like the jacket but was expecting something warmer and more substantial. If I had seen it in a store I would not have spent that much money for it and that is at the sale price. My tendency ~ running cool. Many wool pieces owned. These I really value and have long leaned on to maintain comfort. But Primaloft Gold has proven over and over to be more of a marvel / just the ticket in many circumstances. Triple threat here. Unbeatable warmth for its weight, this only being enhanced by the windstopper element, plus superior hand pockets. Even the hood has proven fully functional with no compromise. I'm 5' 11”, weigh 150 and size M offers a spot on fit while still allowing for layering latitude underneath. Wonderful that the sleeves work out fine for my longer arms. Not so keen on the choice of the orange lining. Better if they'd gone with a taupe or gray with the black version that I chose. But all in, honestly one very well conceived jacket. I thank myself that I said yes.

This jacket has top notch technology used, starting with the Primaloft Crosscore at a whopping 170 grams. Because of this it is one of the lightest jackets I own, only the Orvis Pro HD surpasses this jacket it warmth to weight ratio. This jacket fits true to size. I wear 48' in chest at 5'11, 245lbs, muscular build and have plenty of room to layer up to a midlayer comfortably. At the sale price, I wouldn't hesitate in purchasing one, or two, like I did!
